Arsenal vs Aston Villa (PL) 4-1

Don’t care how, just need to grind out a win today.

Merino worries me in midfield. Feel like positionally teams have been able to play right through our midfield when he’s played CM this season.

Mad, I’m not worried. The only thing that worries me is if it is a long term injury in which case would obviously suck.

Nothing is stemming this wave of fuck that Arsenal are going to hand Villa tonight.

I have confidence that Merino will do a job in Rice’s position though we also have Norgaard who looked pretty ready when he was last used. Zubi must be close to having the most minutes of our outfield players, maybe this is the one where we rest him if he struggled at Villa Park.

Merino offers physicality and goal threat. Zubi and Odegaard need to be smart in the ball.

We still must be winning this.

Can’t see how Arsenal will win this one

No rice
No timber
No Calafiori

Wtf is actually wrong with the fitness of our players ? It seems like all of them ar waiting for their turn to get injured as soon as a player is back from injury

Options to replace Rice:

Merino (Euros winner and one of our top scorers)

Eze (65m player and England international)

Norgaard (Captain of a Premier League team last season).

We also have Hincapie and White available and Gabriel is back.

Why are we panicking

I’m actually delighted. One of our most consistent players this season. No need to risk starting White then.

My mood right now (trying to stay strong)

I think it’s because our players aren’t performing to the levels we know they can (despite being top in both leagues). Every game feels like a final and that we’re hanging on a thread in every game, mere moments away from capitulation.

So key players missing, increases the collective BP of Arsenal fans everywhere

A big win here and a cleansheet would help to settle some anxiety amongst the fanbase though.

Only good thing is Kamara being out balances it out as hes important for them, as well and theyve also got cash out.

Would be … amazing if he ends up in the starting lineup in the end

:arteta5:

If Rice is injured, I’d personally prefer to see Odegaard as the 8, with Eze as the 10 and Zubi as the 6. If Gabriel is back we have a strong defensive lineup.

This is exactly what I was thinking.

Lean into those bends… balls on the tank.
