Arsenal vs Aston Villa (PL) 4-1

No need to rush him back into a mist win game. FA Cup game makes sense.

It is actually going to be overcast and possibly misty tomorrow evening to be quite fair.

Match Day.

I hope this isn’t the same routine stuff where we dominate, create chance after chance but somehow unable to score.. only for opposition to score on their first chance

Feeling fucking pumped for this, excited and positive all over again, regardless of the away result against them recently.

VAMOS.

If we can beat Bayern, Athletico at home, we can beat anyone

Been seeing a lot of Villa fans online this week talking shit, mostly about Arteta, comparing his and Emery’s first 50 games in charge of Arsenal, saying we shouldn’t have sacked Emery etc.

You’d think they’d be glad that we did sack him and that they get to have him as manager instead of some dumb cunt like Steven Gerrard, but there we go.

Anyway, very much feels like they’re trying to create a rivalry between our managers that isn’t there imo. I can’t speak for our whole fanbase, but I honestly devote zero time to thinking about Emery and his time at Arsenal, or the circumstances around his departure. I don’t wish him ill at Villa, I don’t wish him well, he’s just one among 19 other managers in the league.

As a result, I extra want to fucking smash them and shut these cunts up.

Anticipating a tight, tough game though.

Sadly, I’m at the in laws, so it’ll be ManU vs Wolves on the telly tonight :henry:

The media draw into this too. I’ll be honest, Emery being the one to have the better of Arteta is annoying but I reckon every coach has their version of kryptonite.

His tenure at Villa has been sketchy; lots of ups and downs with the most recent form hitting unbelievably lucky streaks with the data that has been presented. It’s akin to the Mustafi 20 clean sheets malarky from yonder - paper those cracks!

Emery has won multiple trophies and overachieved at Villa. He even brought Arsenal to a European final. On top of that, he has embarrassed Arteta numerous times at two clubs.

There is an easy way to stop the noise. In the short term, beat Villa tonight, which will kill their faint title hopes. In the longer term, win a league title. Arteta doing that at Arsenal trumps Emery winning one at PSG.

We need to slap these chumps back into their position.

I’m happy for Emery, generally speaking, and I think things worked out for both parties. I don’t think we are where we are now if he stays and his spells at Villarreal and Villa have been great for his reputation.

I’m also glad we aren’t running with a midfield containing Steven N’Zonzi lol

Fingers crossed wolves go a couple ahead and everyone wants to switch over

They beat us 2-1 across two legs…

They knocked us out at the Emirates. Everybody is different. I saw that as an abomination.
