Arsenal transfers 25/26

They are better run clubs with more ambition, better managers, with some sort of plan, and none of them would touch Arteta, Edu or Xhaka with a barge pole.

I would never have included these clubs before this season but we have dragged ourselves down to their level in terms of being able to attract top players.

I know he was out of form but with Aubameyang gone, we have no recognised top European players.
I can’t remember when this has happened before.

We spend what we should be for a club of our size and are making up for more than a decade of spending next to nothing while watching the club slide down the table.

If we were ambitious we wouldn’t;t be playing out the rest of this season with Lacazette as our only recognised striker and Xhaka still stinking out the place.

I remember everyone felt this when Persie left and we had likes of Podolski & Giroud replacing him. Cazorla was probably the only class player we had at the time.
The very next season we signed Ozil, followed by Sanchez.

Don’t worry so much that you feel Newcastle are better than us.

Not better but possibly more attractive to potential players.

Looking forward to seeing our new signing in action

hmm not sure about this, we haven’t really trimmed anything beside an insignificant amount of wages. Likes of Kolasinac and Chambers were leaving in the summer regardless. Mari will come back, as will AMN.

Seems silly to get rid of depth

Any notion of a good positive squad trimming falls down in my eyes when I see that:

  1. Xhaka is still here
  2. Lacazette is still here.

Lacazette is leaving in the summer.

We need him a lot now Auba acted like a fool

Yeah true bro

It’s a mix when judging an ambitious board, we do spend money, but we could also be looking at handing a contract extension to a manager that has finished no higher than 6th in 2.5 seasons.

Idk what to call it. We basically have absentee owners. They don’t want to bother with the minutiae of the day to day running of a football club so they give autonomy to someone to do all the work for them. It’s why we’ve ended up with a few con men bleeding the club dry and taking kick backs on player transfers the last few seasons, jumping in bed with agents. The board/owners don’t have a fucking clue what it takes to run a successful football club.

One upside to all this no signing is Twitter is in the mud on relevancy now.
No different and in some cases worse than general news and media outlets. RIP.

Well lets hope our Summer transfer window is the same as previous Summers and we get players who want to play for the club and shirt ?! Glad we didn’t get anyone in on stupid money - another 4/5 decent signings and we’re good :+1:t5:

We need about 3 top tier signings + 2 decent signings, just decent won’t cut it.

How did I miss this gem yesterday?

I’m simply not having it that West Ham are better run than we are. This is the same shower of cunts who got hold of a stadium for ten quid a month and somehow managed to luck into David Moyes turning into a competent manager the second time they fucking hired him, in sheer desperation. Just no. They’re not.

Other than that stroke of luck what do they do better than we do?

If you’d written this post three games into the season I guarantee you’d have named Everton too.

CM, CM and ST.

Backup RB on top and we’re good imo. If Leno goes then stick that money on a backup keeper.

How dare you disrespect Matt Turner like that.

We have Partey and Odegaard. Just need a top CM and a backup.
Same for ST, top striker and backup.
