Lol you obviously weren’t a member here when half the talk on this forum revolved around the board. :joy:

24 hrs to save the season.

Don’t think we can get a new manager with such short notice tbh

Only get 90 minutes at Wolves im afraid.

So it looks like we aren’t signing anyone in this window and are going to hope the players we have left can get us top 6. But since we are The Arsenal, everyone knows, we’ll pick up season ending injuries in positions we are very thin at, and then Mikel will say we never thought we’d be that unlucky.

One thing is clear, Mikel’s future doesn’t hinge on a top 6 finish and the board is willing to write-off this season as well.

Sadly this is correct.

Ridiculous

One thing I do have to say is this exodus of average to terrible players is something I never witnessed during the Wenger years. Maybe someone with more experience following the Arsenal can correct me but this window has been a little unusual and aggressive with the outgoings.

Maybe it means we’re doing a madness tomorrow or maybe it means we’re continuing the rebuild in summer, an expansive and expensive one at that.

For me it’s just one of those funny little moments of a mega club like Arsenal, if we find ourselves top 4 we will consider this a master class in efficiency by Edu and Arteta, and if we don’t- well we all know how that will be received baby

I’m pretty happy with the outs. I wanted those outs, including Chambers, so that’s all good, and saying we have a thin squad isn’t a reason to hesitate as Arteta doesn’t seem to trust these fringy players anyway and if Arteta and Auba don’t get on that has to be resolved also. I don’t know what is going to happen tomorrow with ins, but I’m happy enough to disconnect outs from ins here and say we’ve done a good job with outs while not being impressed with our transfer ins strategy so far.

At best we are rolling the dice big time here. I see the Wolves game as almost season defining now.
If United have won at Burnley before we play the pressure is huge.
Win and you can reinvigorate a large part of the fanbase but lose and the fall out is beyond toxic.
I mean do we have real targets for the summer and approachs made or do we have names on a list.

I’ve sworn many a time I would turn off football for the rest of the season.

I might actually do it this time for my own sanity.

No incomings.

Right, can any of you lot play up front?

What a sad sorry club, relying on Lacazette and Eddie to get us back to the CL :joy:.

Call Runarsson back from his loan. The guy can use his feet atleast.

I’ve got all black on today to mourn our transfer business

Not even a measly loan!?

Arteta completely writing off the year then

Becoming increasingly clear, they think this is a viable excuse but it just shows they aren’t the requisite guys for the jobs they hold.

So we’re short in defence so the club is getting rid of more defensive players from our youth team. Sounds about right.
