Well trash or not you’re talking about first team Arsenal players. It might suit for your Willocks and AMNs who are fringe players but I’d rather not have first teamers sticking around that aren’t great.
I’d definitely take a team of 11 van Persies and Fabregi over 11 Walcotts and Coquelins, even knowing the potential heartbreak. Just because you might get lucky and fleece someone for more than they’re worth doesn’t change the fact that they were playing a lot for you while not being that good.

I haven’t seen this guy break transfer news before but he is a genuinely good reporter (has done a lot of stories on the business/corruption of football) with real journalistic standards who works for the NYT. He might be getting played by somebody but he wouldn’t make this up out of thin air.
The other club kind of sounds like Newcastle.
