Arsenal transfers 25/26

Back at Liverpool, Sterling did play as a #9 and was often quite good. It’s an interesting thought, I’ll give you that.

I absolutely adore Mahrez as a player but i think Sterling would suit our needs more. Absolutely mental to be linked to either though at this point, they’re both a class above us.

I do think if that kind of talent is available you have to think seriously about it, not just premier league proven but premier league winners. We need players who have that kind of mindset and belief in their ability.

I seem to recall that when City was in for Alexis, Wenger wanted to do a swap deal with City for Sterling…shame that one didn’t work out back in the day!

Not sure we could afford him this summer, either in terms of transfer fee or wages, plus I personally still think that Saka is best on the left-wing. We also have Martinelli. If we signed Sterling we would end up limiting opportunities for one or both of these players, or if you move Saka to the right-wing you limit opportunities for Pepe…For the £80m that we would probably have to pay for Sterling, I would sooner us invest in actual positions that we are weaker in.

Yes, let’s help help Citt buy Kane and Grealish. :unamused:
If we were to buy someone it should be one of Bernardo, Rodri, Stones or Laporte.

You can’t think City need anyone other than their dirty dirty owners to help them buy anything.

Give me a tier 1 please.

Getting absolutely slaughtered by Grant Whal on Twitter. If Stan Kroenke knew who Grant Whal was, remembered that he owned a MLS team or remembered that he owned Arsenal for that matter I’m sure he’d be really upset.

Arsenal are also understood to not have the kind of money needed to sign those players.

Honestly, it will take some outrageous fees and wages to convince Sterling and Mahrez to leave a team that might be European Champions, for a team who aren’t even in Europe. Never ever going to happen.

True. He would probably take the role Ceballos had for those few games on the left of Partey when Xhaka went to LB and Partey was essentially alone in midfield. I think we have Odegaard and Buendia as higher priorities though.

We would be crazy to pass up a chance at Sterling; but I don’t believe it. That’s just transfer silly season nonsense.

Plus, Arteta had him playing like a world beater at City. Arteta leaves and Sterling’s form drops, coincidence? I think not :wenger2:

Sterling would be coup. Sell Lacazette, buy Sterling and use Gabi and Balogun as back ups.

Or you could do something crazy like playing the elite playmaking winger in his correct role and play your striker as an actual striker.

Good different? I forgot what they used to look like. They seem ok?

Yeah they’re fine, just different. No complaints about that.

So is nobody gonna talk about this?

KSE are criminals if we don’t address those positions.

This is the same old crap they want to sign x,y and but may not be able to blah blah blah. They’ve had 3 windows including this one. So they can fuck off with that crap.
