Arsenal transfers 25/26

Dodged a bullit. We were heavily linked with him last year.

Would rather sign Wijndal, but apparently he’s Barca bound.

Are Barcelona the retirement home for 30 year olds from PL?
Can they please bid for their beloved Willian?

Funny thing is most Barca fans seem pleased with these moves because they lowered their wages to come.

Haven’t watched him play but I know he is another highly rated young defender.
I guess we can definitely see that we’re going for another young defender now?
Tosin, Kounde and now Tapsoba. And 2 of those would cost 40-50m.

Sounds like someone is planning to spend. :smiling_imp:

It sucks for Saliba but we should probably loan him out again if we sign someone like Tapsoba, who is very highly rated.

To be honest, cost aside, its not the worst plan. We have Saliba under contract until 2024 and can afford to be patient.

21-22 - Bring in Tapsoba to start over Holding, loan a 20-year-old Saliba to another PL team.

22-23 - Bring Saliba back to rotate/compete with Tapsoba and Gabriel. Either sell Holding or let him be the 5th CB/water boy.

The bottom line for me is that I just don’t want to see Holding starting regularly at RCB again for this club.

Has anyone watched Tapsoba play?
I don’t watch much of Farmersliga.

Is he similar to Kounde who is very composed for his age?

2024 alarms me.

It could mean Saliba comes back for only one (potentially) good season, after which he’ll either be sold for cheap or leave for free the season after.

His stats are insane, wtf?

Reckon he gets the @BigWeng_4LYFE co-sign.

If we sign another under-23 centre back, Saliba is done here.

Liverpool get criticised for spending 80m on VVD yet we spent 35m on Mustafi and 30m on Saliba.
So we spent nearly as much on a CB that was useless and another that doesn’t even play here.

That’s why you should spend loads on proven quality from a top league rather than stock piling dross.
Mustafi and Saliba, buying CB’s the Arsenal way.

It is back on!

Btw, if he does come to the Premier League he’ll have played in 4 of the Top 5 leagues in the world by the age of 22. :eyes:

Bring Skriniar as well and we steal the PL under City’s nose.

Sounds like the Partey deal,

Not really worried about Villa beating us to this one

I’m really only worried about what our actual plans are going forward here.
We need more than a few tweaks to our current set up.
Not bothered who the players are, more what we are trying too change creativity wise.
Just want containment being traded for assertive approach to games.

All of those players, could improve us. Lukaku or Martinez could lead the line for us. And Hakimi would be an instant upgrade on Bellerin although supposedly he can’t defend to save his life which is a bit concerning.

I think he is alright. In comparison to Aarons who looks like an alternative I think he stands more of a chance to improve given his frame and pace.

Arteta managed to make Kolasinac somewhat conscious of his defending duties which we didn’t see in the past. I know he fucked up in that Spurs game but that was moreso because of his inability to use both feet.
Hakimi will be fine.

I wonder who our top target for the midfield is? Bissouma is in the list but not at the top, Berge is also another one.
