Jokers. I noticed the mention of ‘a right back from France’. And we’re interested in Emerson from Celta Vigo.
Ornstein said a CB is priority.

Agree with @Powderfinger on the striker front - we don’t desperately need to replace Laca (assuming he goes) because we have Martinelli and Balogun who can deputise.
With no European football, I reckon 3 CFs is enough. It would also force Artutti into playing a system that gets the best out of Aubameyang, or at least tweaking so that Auba isn’t so stranded centrally.
We need to go big on a proper partner for Partey and a quality RB. If we can bring back Guendouzi and Saliba then that gives us a lot more than what we had this season.
I think we’re pretty stacked in the positions Grealish plays, but my god he would transform us. He’s still my dream signing.
Hahahaha
Emerson Royal from Betis actually. Co-owned by them and Barca. That’s why he said the deal is complex.
I remembered the team wrong. Barca are meant to be buying out Betis to sell on though from what I’ve read. It sounds like we don’t like the asking price
Which is very interesting.
Fabrizio did mention in the past that we won’t pay big on a RB but then you wonder why the fuck did we target Hakimi in the first place?
And I’m also wondering what makes them think they can get Aarons for less than that. Webber said that clubs need to break their transfer record to get some of the known assets at Norwich(Buendia and Aarons). Godfrey went for £25m.
Swear this guy links us with a Turk every summer
Jose Felix is reliable, I think?
Edit: Yep, the same guy that’s very reliable for Madrid.
We’re in a better position to currently offer first team football
For what it’s worth.
Fabrizio said we’re looking to sort out RB and midfielder before the Euros. With the Bertrand news, it sounds like he’ll be sorted before then too.
Odegaard is probably gonna go down to the wire unless someone at Madrid convinces him to stay.
They’ll take their time with the striker, and see how it goes with Lacazette.
I assume GK will be a similar one with Leno.
RCB I’ve got no idea who or what they’re looking for.
People close to Kronke, who held senior positions in the sports establishment and are still in contact with him, told #Bell_Arsenal that the family is striving to mend fences with the unhappy segment of the crowd and there is a serious intention to do something exceptional this summer.
We should wait and judge the quality of work by the end of the market.
Hakimi, Koulibaly, Grealish and Haaland incoming.
Arsenal outpricing Madrid you love to see it
I’ve been hearing a lot lately that we’ve been told we’ll have a big budget in previous summers.
Sorry when was that summer? AFAIK, every window the last couple of years we’ve been hearing that money is tight or we’re broke.
This is the first summer that I’m actually hearing there will be investing, from reliable journalists and ITK to even the manager.
Arsenal are kinda all over the place depending on what’s convenient to say. When the fans are mad we are told we have money, when they are happy we play up the poverty aspect. Clown club tbh
I think it’s more “When the fans are mad we are told we are still a big club, when they are happy we play up the poverty aspect.”
I can’t remember Arsenal ever pushing out an agenda that we have considerable funds ahead of a transfer window. It was always excuses.
This is all new to me.
Even the manager putting himself out there saying we’re gonna invest?
I suspect Arteta knew exactly what he did with his statements. He’s putting the pressure on Kroenkes. They don’t even have the excuse that it’s all media talk. The manager himself said the Kroenkes will back him. They will look pretty stupid if they don’t.
I genuinely feel the fans will go ape shit crazy next season if restrictions loosen up and stadiums start getting filled up again and Kroenkes don’t deliver.
I know we have a reputation of being skint, but don’t see any reason to complain over spends over the last 4 seasons. We’ve spent sums that any big club would, just haven’t spent it wisely.
Last 2 season combined we have spent around 230mn and over 4 seasons the figure is close to half a billion. The squad however feels worse than what Wenger had left behind.
