Biggest problem Iām having right now is, what are we really looking to actually do in this window.
Have we got targets we really want for specific functions in the team, because Iām starting to believe what we have we hold.
Few days to go but even Aouar alone looks limited excitement going forward.
Itās hard to say because we fired our DoF at the start of the window.
I guess the Willian thing was an easy deal greased up by Kiaās links to Raul. I didnāt think heād be a starter but here we are.
The Gabriel deal makes a lot of sense if we were going to move CBs out but Iām not convinced weāll do that now.
The midfield recruitment is a mess. Getting Dani on loan is great but weāve been told the club want Partey, that they scouted him, they know about the release clause and thenā¦nothing. Meanwhile Everton picked up a younger, comparable player from a relegated team for less money.
The Aouar deal looked likely because literally nobody else wanted him but JMA is such an insane person to negotiate with and weāre a bit of a laughingstock ourselves when it comes to doing deals.
What is frustrating is the absolute silence around other targets. There appears to be no plan B. Maybe weāre into bargain basement territory waiting to see if Chelsea will loan us Jorginho or if one of the big Spanish clubs are ready to jettison some players to make space.
Iām not giving up completely but it looks grim atm. Not a great showing from Edu on the organizational front.

Unless there is actually no money itās fucking incredible, and not in a good way, that they still leave signings players 48 hours before the deadline. I hoped that those days were over after Wenger left.

From before summer even began, it was very clear the club would need to sell to buy.
We havenāt sold, therefore thereās no money to buy. Thatās the end of it.

Gnna have to look into the lower leagues at players like John swift and matt grimes at this rate.
Canāt help it though, thatās when transfers move faster and clubs like Lyon are inclined to sell.
Maybe Arsenal were too hasty to get rid of Sanllehi.
