Arsenal transfers 25/26

I don’t know anything about Joelson Fernandes, but another young winger and a Willian should mean our wings as set for years to come. Assuming one of the three younger ones becomes great and Willian can help with CL qualification. But we probably don’t have 100 million laying around to make it happen… (in addition two midfielders).

This is a fee that I can believe rather than the €45m being bandied about a few hours ago.

I’d be good with that… he is by all accounts a special talent - does anyone have deeper dive into this kid?

Anyone who does is full of it lol

“Oh let me tell you, this guy is the real deal, Joelsinho as I like to call him, has been a standout performer for his youth side this season…”

Tbf, I can see some Portuguese fan having heard of the kid but I see some takes on Twitter and they act like they’ve been watching him for years. :upside_down_face:

Do the Portuguese leagues have mandatory release clauses? Maybe that’s where that 45m figure came from.

45m for a 17 year old is preposterous unless he was already killing it in the PL.

15m sounds far more reasonable - still a big gamble given our limited funds but if he’s got a big ceiling then I guess this is a signing that helps us get back to top 4 in the 21/22 season and beyond.

If he rockets in value at Sporting next season then we lose our chance of ever getting him. Have to make these risky yet affordable gambles.

Seems like we’ve been pulling this kind of move the past 2 years. We did it with Matteo and then with Martinelli. Seems like the club is actively trying to poach wonderkids early on. In the past, we used to have more time before we pulled the trigger but nowadays more teams are monitoring them and with just a couple of good appearances their price could skyrocket.

99% this has already been discussed, but would any of you guys take Grealish? I personally think he’s the fit we need, lacking that creativity now seeing as Ozil has lost his smile.

Yeah hundred percent, we saw him basically running that game. He’s PL proven and like Micah said at the end of the game if he has Auba, Pepe, Laca etc… to play to instead of what he has at Villa then he definitely has the potential and makings of a top top attacking midfielder.

No. Too expensive.
He’s Man Utd bound anyway.
If we’re looking for solutions in the Prem there’s one bargain at Norwich called Buendia. Closest thing to Santi you’ll see right now.

Any new and interesting rumours?

No, is a terrible slow news day.
Seems like the only interesting thing today is going to be the Milan-Atalanta game.

Definitely too expensive but where does he fit at Man U? I thought he was going there too but does he play instead of Bruno? No. He can’t replace Pogba. Would he play over anyone in their forward line? No.

Maybe he stays another year.

Ooooh boy.

we don’t need any more clumsy centre backs

Unfortunately that’s most centre-backs today. :disappointed:

Di Marzio is reliable so I assume we are interested. I watched a highlight video and the first thing I noticed was that he goes top ground all the time and seems a bit clumsy.
