Arsenal transfers 25/26

It worked okay for Juve picking up Pirlo, Chelsea picking up Giroud and Liverpool picking up Milner.

He’d walk into our team and improve us right now and is PL proven. Chelsea fans want him to stay too

The main issue is he’s asking for a 3 year deal at the age of 32. He turned down 2 year extension at Chelsea. I do expect him to age well though

Doubt Arsenal will risk paying a large fee at this time. So that’s Partey and Upa out.

I think Partey, and as @Calum said, Mari for around £50-60m combined. Could recoup half, maybe nearly even all, through player sales.

Willian and Fraser signing on fees shouldn’t be extortionate you’d like to think. In Willians case it looks like he’s wanting the security of a three year deal more than anything.

Do you really see us spending 50m on a player? We were already struggling before COVID-19 going that high without CL football(and possibly not even EL now). Even if we sell Auba I think the club will try and be smart about using that money for multiple transfers.

If we give Willian a three year contract, the entire negotiating team should be fired. I’m not saying he’s a bad person, he actually came off like a cool due on the Brazil Amazon documentary, but committing to him for three years at this point is just insanity. I’d rather see us churn through younger prospects.

If the club see him as vital to Artetas plans then I don’t see why not. However, I don’t see us spending that on multiple targets and also assume the 50 would be the majority of our summers budget. So a big signing supplemented by a couple of freebies and a low fee signing such as Mari.

I suppose it depends on how confident the club are of squeezing two really good years out of him before phasing out and becoming a bit part player in the third.

Those are three examples of it working out alright (Giroud less so than the other two, but anyway), yes. I can offer as many of it not.

Agreed, this is a key point informing my opinion on this prospective transfer.

The BBC gossip page relating to arsenal today :face_vomiting:

Arsenal will sell Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 30, for £30m as they do not want him to leave on a free transfer.

I’d rather us give him 300k a week to stay or keep him for another year and lose him for nothing than sell for £30m, ridiculous undervaluation. (Unless we’re actually going to go bust from coronavirus without the money  )

The Gunners have yet to offer a contract extension to German midfielder Mesut Ozil, 31.

Good, offer him 80k a week and when he refuses let him leave on a free

Arsenal and Manchester United are both interested in signing Monaco and France striker Wissam Ben Yedder, 29.

I dont want another average aging player who’s likely to demand massive wages and have no resale value

Everton have held talks with Barcelona over 20-year-old centre back Jean-Clair Todibo. The French youngster is currently on loan at Schalke.

We should get involved in this if he is available and we can’t get Upamecano

Arsenal will have to pay Real Madrid 50m euros (£44m) if they want to sign on-loan Spain midfielder Dani Ceballos, 23, on a permanent deal.

Fuck off is he worth anything near that, offer them half of that and then move on

Arsenal are struggling to tie 18-year-old English winger Bukayo Saka down to a new contract with other Premier League clubs interested.

Just give him a 5/6 year contract on 100k a week and be done with it, he’s worth far too much to us for us to be pissing about with wages negotiations

We’re losing Saka aren’t we :weary::woozy_face:

What’s Saka done to get a 5/6 year contract on a 100 million.

I agree, £100 million a week is a bit much :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Saka has been one of our best players this season, which at his age, playing out of position and for his first real senior season is very impressive.
Whatever we have to pay him, (regardless of whether you think he’s worth it), the extra amount we’ll get when we sell him (compared to losing him at end of contract) will more than cover this wages cost, plus we get the benefit he gives to the squad in the meantime.

This can’t be real, surely!
