Apparently hasn’t had a breakout till he turned 26. Will be 27 in August. Haven’t heard of him before, looks a bit clumsy for my liking, we have too much of that already.

If its for only around 5M as reported then taking a punt doesn’t seem like a bad idea. He’ll probably be a nothing player but he’s unlikely to be worse than Mustafi as a 4th CB option and every once in a while you might turn up a gem in this situation.

Not saying I disagree with you - I literally have no idea, never seen this guy play - but, Drogba was 26 when he went to Chelsea from the French farmer’s league. I don’t think we should discount him based on age.
I remember watching Drogba during his final season at Marseille, what he did in the Premier League came of little surprise to me.
You’re just using it as an example I know.

Maybe we should try buy Kevin De Bruyne. He’s very good and would raise our level in midfield for sure. Surprised we haven’t tried this yet tbh

What we should be doing is investing in state-of-the-art muscle regrowth technology. I read about it 17 years ago in “New Scientist” magazine. Its cutting edge shit.
We buy the machine for £100m which is a big initial outlay. But by my calculations, when we release Özil from his contract next season, we will have an extra £400m to spend per season. The idea is that you stick Cesc Fabregas in the machine for an hour and he comes out as fit as a 20 year old version of himself. We could bring Thierry back out of retirement, slot Freddie back on the wing and get Sol back in the heart of defence. I’d love to see Sol become a social media cult icon for us, with his weird bastard videos. That should be our transfer policy going forwards.

Sol, I like your attempt to “think outside the box” (to use a phrase espoused by people who are dead inside) but you’ve overlooked the most plausible solution.
For a few thousand we can set up a printing press to produce fake £20 notes. We use the forged money to pay for transfers in cash. We may have to pay over the odds as most clubs prefer transfers to be done by paypal or credit card these days. We then sell our rubbish players on ebay as a job lot and pocket the real money.
