Iā€™m not particularly excited by any of the players weā€™ve been linked with so far. Maybe Alvarez and Tonali would certainly be upgrades but I really wish we could find a couple of Henry/Bergkamp-style generational talents to take us up to the highest level and keep us there for a decade.

But, maybe Iā€™m not watching enough games that arenā€™t involving Arsenal at the moment, so my scouting radar isnā€™t detecting much.

Not sure that player is either out there or available as in a clearly top class forward having a rough time at his club. Rodrygo was the closest but heā€™s currently fucked. Rafa Leao? But he isnā€™t the same profile that Bergkamp or Henry were when they left Italy.

It worked for Liverpool because of Firmino. Who was an attacking midfielder. If we want to play that midfield we need to replace Gyokeres with a creative player. Just sign a creative player then.

His name is Kai Havertz and he has not been good enough.

Kai Havertz doesnā€™t fill in that role like it is supposed to when you have a midfield consistent of work horses.

Liverpool midfield was bunch of workhorses as well, so i donā€™t see any issue there.
My issue with Kai Havertz suggestion is that Kai has less than 30% of skills Firmino possessed.

I started typing a long post about why Iā€™m not fond of the Anderson transfer because of how our midfield would look and then couldnā€™t be bothered anymore and just left it lol
