Arsenal transfers 25/26

That is concerning. The thing is that we know he can score Premier League goals. He also has Thierry’s seal of approval and that is good enough for me! I get the impression that the family didn’t like England, so doubt that he’s coming back.

He’d be the perfect replacement/upgrade to Jesus in my opinion.

Exclusive: Saudi Pro League targeting 50 foreign names in new wave of business planned after the World Cup.

It’s nice of the Saudi League to ring up Ben Jacobs to give him a a list of all the players they want to buy.

Not the first time Jesus and Giovanni Branchini work together.

I think one of Martinelli or Trossard will be leaving in the summer. Both will be entering the final 12 months of their contract. Usually you’d hear about a contract renewal in the works but there’s nothing in the grapevine for either

Who do you want to be an Arsenal player come September 1st 2026…

  • Martinelli
  • Trossard
  • Both
  • Abstain

Trossard has had one foot out the door since we signed him according to the ITKs so he gets my vote.

Broken clock etc.

Trossard, because I think we’ll get more money for Martinelli.

If I’m picking one it’s Trossard. Think hes the type of player that can keep doing what he’s doing for a couple more seasons at least.

Martinelli can attract a good fee and the left is probably the area most ripe for an upgrade so that will help.

Be a pity to see Marti go though.

Trossard. I wouldn’t want Martinelli wasting away in Saudi though. Sign for Liverpool and win the league next year. The second sentence is of course not serious: the first sentence is absolutely serious.

Although it’s not the question asked. Think we could end up seeing both leaving actually.

Love Martinelli’s work rate and willingness to die for the cause but we need quality on the pitch and Trossard offers a heck of a lot more of that than Martinelli does.

Ideally, we keep Trossard, and upgrade big time on Martinelli, and Trossard become a firm second choice.

Bossard

interesting dilemma this.
Martinelli is clearly not the best choice for starting XI and we can recover good money out of him; which can be reinvested in a different winger with a higher ceiling.
However, not sure how long Trossard can keep this form up.
He is 31.
Will Trossard be good enough to cover for one more season for us to gamble on selling a player who is already embedded in Teta’s system and hope the new player adjust?

There’s a good chance it’s both. Ornstein has already mentioned we will need to look at selling some players in the near future and I think Martinelli is one guy we can ‘sell high’ on because of age and ‘potential’.

Trossard because of the contract situation and his age meaning it’s our last chance to get some money out of him.

Anyone watch enough Series A to know what sort of ceiling Pio Esposito has? He looked a menace against Mosquera the other night and seems a prospect.

Very very serious talent. The best Italian striking talent in a very long time.

He has all the tools of a traditional CF in that he is strong, he can hold the ball up, he’s got very good movement, he loves the physical side but he also has good technical quality.

He’s been a must-buy wonderkid in FM for a few years now. I got him in FM26 before I gave up and went back to the “Luddite” version that works, FM24.
