Arsenal transfers 25/26

Should revisit the Watkins deal now Villa getting Tammy. Could even send Jesus and Nwaneri (on loan) their way to sweeten the deal :pires2:

Would be a much better Jorginho replacement than Norgaard.

Wouldn’t be against this! Is there any truth to this or just Hagn mentioning the idea

I mean Norgaard didn’t even make the squad in our last game that should tell everyone what is position is.

This is the type of signing that on paper makes sense but in reality probably comes with its challenges in terms of wage packet and whether he can still play in Europe after his absence

Yea i basically think its not worth considering signing a player once they have given up on a serious career and gone to Saudi

Ruben Neves would be a good bargain for anyone.
But I learnt my lesson with Douglas Luiz.

The only Ruben I would want has an array of deli-meats, toasted and sour-krauted to the seams.

I think we have adequate depth in those MF roles. Have an eye on transitioning MLS there, acquire someone of Bouaddi’s ilk and we’re golden.

Burned his bridges when he decided to give up on competitive football

He’s still good. I don’t think we’ve been linked with him recently though. Mostly Man Utd and Madrid.

Have you seen him play at an actual competitive level though? And I don’t mean the rubbish international games.

Portugal and Al-Hilal games.

He’s Inzaghi’s most important player currently.

If we’re comparing him to Norgaard, I think Ruben’s well clear of him.

No thanks, he’s become Rubenesque, playing in a non-competitive league.

He was neves that thin to begin with.

Neves isn’t leaving the riches of Saudi to come and sit on our bench on a comparatively moderate salary.

Alvarez has 0 non-penalty goals since September!? Jeez, he’s struggling

What’s this trend of talking about non penalty goals like they count more?

He has 1 goal and 1 assist in la liga in his last 13 appearances. There’s no need to strip his penalty goal, it already paints the picture as is.

He has 3 in his last 4 in the CL and 3 in 5 since this magic September deadline. Consensus was he played well against us too.

Overall 11 goals and 5 assists in 28 despite the recent league drought. Also been subbed off in 18 of those 28. It’s not 100m form but maybe he pulls it back in the second half of the season.
