Why wouldnāt we? Good on Berta on exploring all avenues and seeing what the options out there are.
This is probably common practice for most directors.
Nicholas Jackson?
That better be bullshit rumours
My preference at this point is Sesko/Rodrygo but I think a lot of combinations could work well and Iām just glad that we seem to have multiple targets for both CF and LW which makes me think weāre actually going to address both in some manner.
The one combination I donāt really like is Gyokeres and Eze. I just think weāre spending way too much money on two 27-year-olds without elite ceilings if we do that. But Gyokeres and Rodrygo or, maybe even better, Sesko and Eze, would work.
Jackson bollocks.
Looks like the Madueke link has legs.
Times mentioned it again yesterday and now Fabrizio confirmed that heās a name discussed at Arsenal.
Wonder how much Chelsea will want for him.
I legitimately wanted to post this exact thing when I read that link.
Yeah, but those options shouldnāt include fucking Jackson lol
Sounds our options arenāt very good.
Regarding Jackson, Iāve always been somewhat positive about him but I absolutely donāt want him anywhere near us. There is still aome raw talent and potential there and could become a decent striker if he can unlock all that but I donāt want to see him trying that here.
Heās a shittier Welbeck atm, most likely he will never really improve significantly, but not ruling it out completely.
Not happy with the Madurke links either. I donāt see him as an upgrade on Martinelli at all. Looks very good when in form, but seems somewhat inconsistent, and simply nood good enough allround, if we really want to make that step forward. More of a sideways move.
Hang on, werenāt you replying about Alvarez?
Nope.
Didnāt like that either. I like Alvarez, but not happy with us EXPLORING the football world atm, while you expect us to be advanced in the Seskorgekfjdbdhfbdb negotiations.
We should be way past the exploration phase at this stage.
The people who reported it suggested it happened some time ago, not recently, I donāt think weāre still looking at that.
Btw, on Madueke, Iām not sure heās seen as a Martinelli upgrade but moreso Saka cover.
Becoming a bit clear now that we could be looking at 3 new forwards this summer(which is something even Ornstein suggested).
Remember, we were interested in Sane and Mbeumo as well.
The only concerning bit for me is if this is down to the club being worried about Sakaās fitness.
Why are we linked with Jackson and Madueke?
Does Arteta know there are other clubs, apart from Chelsea, that have rejects we can buy?
I wouldnāt mind Madueke as a Saka cover at all, but there are a few issues.
I donāt think heās cheap and we do have Nwaneri who did a very good job last year.
Unless Arteta plans to play Nwaneri as an 8 this season primarily. Heās done a pretty crap job there last season mostly.
I think getting a skilled 8 is much more needed to the squad than getting another RW.
Yeah, my preference would be to focus the budget on LW and ST.
Martinelli and Nwaneri can play RW at a good level. Maybe the new LW could have that capacity to play there too.
Shouldāve signed cherki if weāre gonna spend 50m on a backup rw.
Literally looking at playmakers out wide and didnāt pick the cheap one up.
Certainly weird that we didnāt try for Wirtz when you see the links to Rogers, Eze and Rodrygo.
Because journalists and ITKās make shit up.
Yeah, I donāt think we are short enough there to invest some serious money into a RW.
Go big on a LW, and the RW sorts itself automatically, with Martinelli or Nwaneri shifting there. Although you donāt expect too much need for rotation there if Saka has recovered fully, which seems to be the case.
The RW isnāt an issue atm at all, especially looking at the lack of quality and options in other attacking positions.
All those links about Mbuemo or Sane could have been total bullshit really. Or maybe we have just enquired if they are available at a really low price. We arenāt going big on a RW (thatās my inside ITK full on approved info; during the shitstorm I prevail )
Yes they do.
