Arsenal transfers 25/26

There’s still time for his career. 25 is too early to Nasrify the fella. It’s why I called him a poor mans Kevin De Bruyne. The only part of his game that is superior KDB’s is his dribble/close control and has more sauce/flair.

As for his wages I’ve seen 100k a week (lowest) to 150k (highest) so we’d be giving Danny Welbeck’s wage (120k).

Beggars can’t be choosers… we need to be super smart and lucky with signings… hit on a few young gems, maybe buy one superstar (Umtiti), and then clever buys that are underrated or reclamation projects, etc.

Yea Nasri left when he’d just turned 24. This fella is 25 and hasn’t kicked on since he was 19. He’s probably going to regress from here on in, not improve.

I wouldn’t complain as he’s technical quality is there but he won’t push us on much and his attitude isn’t great imo

We could be worse off paying Alexis his ridiculous wages after his drastic decline and increase in injuries. Mkhi may not world class, but we got the better end of that deal. I do think he is one that could be a good squad player. There is no way we sell 5+ players and replace them all. Sadly, it’ll take a few transfer windows. There are other players that need to go with more urgency.

Absolutely agree with this. Mkhi may not be setting the world ablaze, but he’s not as big a liability as some of our defenders and MF. It wouldn’t bother me too much if he ended up sticking around as a squad option.

Yeah can’t disagree with that… he certainly has more potential and quality to be a decent squad option… he is on high wages, but wages shouldn’t be an issue with the departures anyway.

Should we be cheap and demand €10 million or just let him go for nothing?

We should continue to build our team around 352 formation and get an absolute beast of a wing back, preferably one that can play both sides.

How small is their transfer budget if they can’t even afford Elneny?!

Quite small.
Probably slightly bigger than ours.

Must be about the same as my Netbank saver account.

For the next two years for as long as Ozil is here that’s probably the best option. For 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 with an advanced midfielder they probably need to buy at least two proper wingers, whilst there are other priorities.

We’ve been hearing about all this interest from PL teams in previous windows for Mo and he’s gonna end up in France for a shit price. Arsenal 101.

It’s like the Gibbs thing all over. Didn’t we reject an offer from Stoke or someone only to sell him to WBA for even less money?

Fucking joke man.

Apparently we’ve made an offer (and United are also interested) for “Real Madrid outcast” Marcos Llorente.

100% agree with sticking to 5-2-1-2 (or 3-5-2 if you wanna call it that).

If they could only make two signings of the required quality it would have to be a centre back and box to box midfielder for me.

Leaves plenty of holes but I don’t believe more than two good signings in a summer window are possible under Arsenal’s budget.

If we begin next season with a lineup like:

Leno - Maitland-Niles, New CB, Holding, Sokratis Kolasinac - Torreira, New CM - Özil - Lacazette, Aubameyang

It would still need plenty of further investment but I don’t think it would be a disaster. Koscielny, Xhaka and Guendouzi can still hold down squad places and Bellerin will return. Could massively do with a stop gap left back or wing back too.

Essentially replacing the guys that stepped us down.
Probably will work but I am not too fond of it.
