I think Osimhen turned out to be bad for the dressing room. That’s the politest way I can put it. We dodged a bullet not blowing one season’s transfer fee on him.

There must be some reasons his stock just dropped so much and no big club is looking for his service
I’d be jumping all over Osimhen if Napoli are prepared to deal at a sensible price. Best available striker.
I was having a chat with an Arsenal supporting journo last year and asked if rumours of Osimhen being a tosser with a big ego was true. He laughed and nodded.

Gonna be tough persuading Joan Garcia in the summer. He’s become hot property in La Liga, getting linked with all the big 3 in Spain now.
Lucky he’s at Espanyol because he’d be the perfect fit for Barcelona. If we get him, I wouldn’t be shocked if we see a repeat(again) of a new keeper coming in and immediately becoming #1.
I assume that is one of the reasons why a big move didn’t happen. That said, if the price comes down to circa £60m, someone will have a punt on him. He is still a quality striker.
I haven’t followed him that closely, but worried by what you say. We don’t want another GK saga potentially disrupting a PL title challenge next season. Raya is an excellent GK and we just need a solid No.2 who is happy to provide cover and play in the cups.
Even Ornstein speculating we could be looking at 6-7 signings is a bit mad.

6 signings including Saka backup make sense to me.
I would fucking flip if we spend our resources on a starting GK again.
I wouldn’t be shocked if one of the keepers we sign has the capability of challenging Raya.
Whether that comes at a substantial price, not sure.
Last time around we hesitated paying Garcia’s RC(around 20m) and he seems to have the capacity to challenge Raya.

Yeah, I’d say those seem to be the key ones(striker, midfielder and goalkeeper).
Rest kinda depends.
Think the wide forward is dependent on finding the right player and likely one of our existing forwards going.
Nypan seems like an opportunity to sign a promising young midfielder, wouldn’t be shocked if we have no alternatives to sign another midfielder if we don’t land him.
Defender coming in seems conditional on various defenders going like Tierney(that’s actually already done), Zinchenko and Kiwior going.
Then goalkeeper we’re already short, Neto doesn’t seem to be fancied(and for good reason if you ask me) so I’d be surprised if we make that move permanent. Will probably pick a cheap keeper out to be third choice or just settle with one of the youth guys filling that role.

I think it is very likely. Trossard extension in progress and Martinelli is on a long-term contract.

The Hato to Arsenal stories have been emerging again, one to watch this summer.
Arteta loves a left back
That’s the sort of profile they’re looking. It sounded that Vitor Reis was eyed to fill that void. I also felt Heaven was prepped to succeed Kiwior as a squad option.
I think it’s gonna be someone versatile that can play both CB and FB.

Guys, I understand you are being realistic but if Terta sign a defender ahead of a winger, I will hack this forum and make light theme default and mandatory.
