Arsenal transfers 25/26

Cerro sense in paying and sending him on Leon.

And a simple game of Chinese whispers had us linked to a Bologna striker for half the summer instead…

I ONLY really post because nothing is going on, and because why the fuck would someone dream this up. It’s not exactly outstanding clickbait

The BBC reported this link as well. Don’t know enough about the player, but isn’t the transformational player that I am hoping we are linked with.

He was one of the best players at Bournemouth last season but although Semenyo is a very good player, he’s probably not good enough to start for us and too expensive as a squad player.

Scott Willis the data guy from the Arsenal Vision podcast did a post where he looked at every Team News and Tix transfer report over the last couple years and this is what he seems to have found. I don’t subscribe to his newsletter but somebody repasted this on Twitter and I assume its accurate:

To judge this, I went through his twitter with his first posts there coming January 2022 and going all the way through the present after he started his Patreon account. This will focus not on his team news information but his other reporting that he did for transfers and other types of news. To be completely fair his team news by all accounts is very accurate but if you don’t do fantsay the value if probably very low and I did not rate any of these reports.

Overall, he made 139 reports/predictions with the following breakdown of ratings.

9% - True reports that seem to provide new novel information that hasn’t been shared elsewhere.

29% - True reports that are not new information.

16% - Reports that could be true, but are not able to be verified.

49% - Reports that turned out to not be true information.

5% - Report that didn’t have any real new information.

Only 9% being true and new is pretty crap. I feel like you get to 9% via educated guesses pretty easily without any access to real info.

49% just untrue probably worse.

about half not accurate…

If you’re right 9% of the time etc…

I mean the numbers add up.

To 108%.

Can’t argue with that.

Another example of ā€œstick to what you knowā€. I get the scramble to make money these days while it’s still possible to make money from traffic within You Tube and other socials but don’t over-reach.

As for the data guy, I get the scramble to make money etc etc etc.

Another goalie

I think I know why. I’ll take a wild stab and says it’s because he’s good at football. Mature beyond his years, a real bull, fertile

I think it’s unfair for fans to say it’s a bad move when we know zych about the guy.

Competition for Setford already. Starting them early

Mbeumo seems repeatedly linked with us at the moment, whilst stating Brentford would be unlikely to let him go in Jan.

I think he’d be a very good signing to cover both RW and striker positions.

Wonder what it would take to get him in Jan/summer, can see him being a Trossard-like signing, albeit for more money.

if we can loan him like Sterling and Bayern eats the bigger portion of his salary, I will take him.
Otherwise, NOPE.

Think he’s out of contract in the summer. Definitely shouldn’t be getting involved in that nonsense
