Arsenal transfers 25/26

Sterling brings our window from 3/10 to a 6/10.

Why so low, what disappoints you about this window?

Merino - 9/10
Califiori - 9/10
Raya - 8/10
Sterling - 7/10

Outgoing business 9/10.

I’d make it 8.5/10.

Calafiori is top class cover and potential first team quality. Versatility is hugely beneficial.

Merino is a natural left footed 8 that hopefully unlocks the left hand side of our attack.

Sterling with basically no financial burden completes our attack.

Then selling Ramsdale, Nketiah, ESR plus loaning out Vieira and Nelson - that’s all the players we needed to move on.

Without the Sterling addition it would have been 6.5 or 7. The outgoing business has been very good imo.

Really good window. Impressive from Edu and Mikel.

New defender
New midfielder
Upgraded winger

A few squad players gone for good money.

I will say 8/10

7.5/10. Really happy with Califiori and Merino, very smart business that. Sterling is a surprise and I’m still on the fence here, but he brings much needed depth and (hopefully) game changing options. Neto is also a smart move! Having such a proven and experienced keeper as our number nr 2 is great.

Most happy with our departures though. Finally offloaded some ā€œdeadwoodā€ in ESR, Nketiah and hopefully Nelson. Vieira will have his chance to prove his worth with regular games on loan, even though I doubt he will be a mainstay in our squad.
Sad to see Rambo leave, but it’s the best scenario for his career and for us too.

A new striker would push me to 9/10 or more. Not many available and I was hoping for Gyƶkeres. Hoping that next season is when we sign a proper striker, even though I’m not too worried about our attack considering the winger depth we now possess.

Its not that deep if you are insinuating I wanted to let ocke now Tierney hasn’t left as I want him to stay for some strange reason :joy:

I just meant it seems like most people have forgotten he was even here, let alone that he hasn’t left. Chill :grinning:

I’ve got a soft spot for Tierney too…I think he could have been a great player for us without all his injuries.

Ahahaha, it happened.

This is a 6.5/10 window for me, mostly because the outgoing business has been excellent.

As for the incomings, Calafiori is the only signing that excites me. Merino, will most likely be a 7/10 player for us. Just don’t think he’ll be a huge upgrade. As for Sterling, not sure what we’re going to get with him, but atleast we have another attacking option.

I also think we are keeping our powder dry for our main attacking target, whoever that is.

Interesting that we ended up doing 2/3. I hope the OP didnt self-destruct before the deadline due to the massive difficulty involved with supporting Arsenal.

Btw, big profit for the club this summer and it was barely used.

Mentioned this some weeks ago but as things stand there will be a couple big names available next summer. There’s also the situation at City with the charges, which in case of a severe punishment could result in even more big names becoming available.

I think both Arsenal and Liverpool have specifically positioned themselves to be ready for some big moves next summer.

Yup, next summer could be huge for attacking players. Williams, Wirtz, Sesko, Openda almost certain to move. Khvara, Leao, Rodrygo, Isak all real possibilities too.

Nelson Nketiah Ramsdale Vieira all leaving isn’t a good sign for Jesus and Martinelli. This could very well be their last season if they arent upto mark.

Arteta is very ruthless
