Arsenal transfers 25/26

He’s gonna start a bleach blonde movement with the Portuguese speakers in the dressing room too.

I don’t think if we sign Bruno that he is going to end up being terrible for us…he has been a good player for Newcastle. I think we need to keep the faith in Arteta and Edu. All 4 transfers last summer were bang on the money!

On the bright side Arteta and Edu haven’t missed on a big transfer since Willian.

The good news is that they recorded that Guimaraes update before the Paqueta news which has likely affected City’s plans.

Let’s hope they get desperate and activate Bruno RC soon so that we stand no chance of getting him.

I think I’d add Vieira to that list personally…hasn’t done enough for me in the two seasons since we signed him. Big fee as well for the player. We could have signed Kudus for a similar sum.

Not including some of our cheaper buys/punts, but think if you are spending £20m+ on a player, you need to get it right!

FdJ on 400k/wk isn’t the answer.

Why would we offer him 400k pw?

Barca’s dealings are irrelevant to us. No club is gonna offer him such wages if he leaves Barca unless he goes to Saudi.

Well then he’s not coming here. Either we match the money he’s on there or pay a bigger fee to get him so Barca can arrange some type of payout.

And even if we did all that I’m still 50-50 on whether he’s the right guy. I think it’s fair to describe his time in Spain as a mixed bag.

Say Barca want a higher fee to accommodate paying Frenkie off, they want 60-70m for him, let’s say 80m should take care of that problem.

Ain’t that what Bruno would cost?

Bruno and FDJ are both in the same transfer fee bracket to me. Both have positives and negatives…

80m on the fee, he’s probably going to expect to be one of the top earners you’d think.

I don’t know that Bruno has that kind of cachet.

I’m not thrilled about either because they both come with risk but I also am admittedly not as high on FdJ as you are. Maybe it’s not his fault and things have been so glonky at Barcelona that he wasn’t able to progress. Despite the title win I think it’s fair to question Xavi’s chops as a top level coach. Kicking the shit out of the Qatari league doesn’t impress anyone.

Our manager apparently loves him and thinks he’s the perfect fit so that sounds good to me.

A great man once said:

I choose to believe him.

I mean don’t get me wrong, that sentiment goes out the fucking window if we get heavily linked to Marcus Rashford. It’s all player specific.

I really really REALLY trust the fucking process right about now.

If it’s Bruno G they really want then fuck me, let’s have him.

Horrible cunt of a cunt. But no doubt I’d love him if he became our cunt. He’s a very good player. Not in the Declan Rice category, but almost.

Jorginho, Rice, Bruno, Partey (we should keep hold of him unless we plan on buying another CM) is superb quality and depth for the 6 + 8 positions.

We need an Ødegaard challenger. We need another forward. And probably another versatile CB who means we don’t collapse if Saliba / Gabriel get injured.

This is the final “big” summer window we need. Think this is the year our squad is finalised. Gonna fuck the league up and dunk on that BASTARD Rodri next season.

I’d take Mudryk as cover over Nelson.

It would be funny if we got Mudryk for around 40m from Chelsea who have given him a season of PL experience and paid double that to get him.

Why take Mudryk when we could just sign Olise ourselves?

If we pay similar amount, why not bid for Olise but Mudryk??

Olise would be more expensive and would probably be tough to convince coming here when we have Saka and Odegaard in positions he likes to play.

With Mudryk you may have a market opportunity of getting a player the club scouted extensively and was ready to pay a club record(or near record) fee to bring him at Arsenal 18 months ago.
Depending on how desperate they are we may be able to get him for half what we were initially ready to pay for.

With how mixed the market is at the moment with both strikers and wingers, it’s definitely something to consider.
