Arsenal transfers 25/26

It’s a must otherwise this slow regression will roll on, not sure I trust this lot to get it right though. Just hope we can pull the EL out of the bag because any business will likely be lacklustre without CL football.

What’s the source? That would require some funds for our standards and we will still need another #6/#8 coming in. No chance.

I can’t make my mind up if I’d want Zaha or not

I think we can pull it off. Football has really moved on from one sided affairs anyway, especially in the PL. Many teams have come at Emirates facing us head on, pressing us high and we have punished them on the break(fuck that Brighton game). Arsenal have really been on that style since 2013. Ozil has made a career out of it(which coincides with 2013). I think the lad can be great for us.

I want him but I know he’s gonna be way too expensive to potentially be worth it.
His game has tremendously matured up and it’s very often in the past 2 years I’ve seen him create stuff outta nowhere for Palace.
Big part of me wants to see what the guy can do with other stars around him and especially in Europe.

I’d love Zaha here

Zaha could actually work well in a front 3 with Laca AND Auba. Especially in althe free roaming role behind the 2 strikers Iwobi and Ramsey have been used this season.

Zaha and Fraser would be awesome I love the idea of raiding the EPL for talent.

What, with his 0.7 dribbles per 90?

How is a dribble defined in those stats you’re quoting? Cos the bits I’ve watched of Fraser that doesn’t cone across as accurate to me.

^
from Opta’s website:
" Dribbles/Take-ons
This is an attempt by a player to beat an opponent when they have possession of the ball. A successful dribble means the player beats the defender while retaining possession, unsuccessful ones are where the dribbler is tackled. Opta also collects attempted dribbles where the player overruns the ball with a heavy touch when trying to beat an opposition player."

Fraser’s dribbling stats were 0.4 per 90 last season.

He might be brilliant, but he’s certainly not a player who’s capable of beating defenders 1v1.
Zaha, and I’m not quite sure if he’s good enough either, would be the better choice if you want to add a dribbler to the squad.

Maybe Douglas Costa if Juve decide to sell?

Thanks.

I bet Gervinho was like 4.5 a game. It was the delivery he could never get right. :santi:

If I had to pick, I’d choose Zaha because he has a bit of that unpredictability and arrogance which makes opposition teams a little bit weary.

He’s cost far too much though and I’m sure the club will be looking for better value. Zaha is also turning 27 this year - we need to get a player in the 21 - 25 age bracket for dat sell on value

Yeah I’m a bit apprehensive about Fraser after reading his stats.

They’re the kind that will regress to the mean

Yeah, it is a risk - he is young though, so hopefully it is just a big step up in his normal progression.

He’s 25, not what I would consider young. He’s the final product and to be honest an underwhelming one.
