Arsenal transfers 25/26

Yep Henderson is a good comparison.
Prime Henderson would be Rice’s ceiling imo. Not there yet obviously.

Tough pick between Darren Ambrose and Jermaine Jenas

Btw, speaking about Rice… At first I didn’t like the mention of him as an 8, but lately I’ve been thinking that would be the best role for him in our current system.

Again, for me not enough press resistant (makes nice runs, but press resistance is something completely different) and his passing isn’t quick/fluid enough to replace Partey.

Has the tools to do basically everything Xhaka does, and probably better. He would add that “steel” and toughness to the midfield, off the ball work, ball winning, pressing. He could probably get even more end product than Xhaka this year (and his numbers are pretty good) considering he’s more athletic and better on the ball.

Also, having him as an 8 probably allows you to have a “softer”, less physical player than Partey as a 6 in the future too.

Although Rice is the sort of player we need, the rumoured 100m is too much, especially as we also need quality in other positions.

So it might be better to get a player like Caicedo for around half that then the money we save can be used to strengthen other positions as well.

I don’t see us paying £100m for a player with a year left on his contract.

Rice will agitate for a move as well, and West Ham will know they don’t have a lot of leverage.

Caicedo costs £50m?

Was being quoted at £80m+ on his old deal

The issue is more the other suitors. They might not have leverage in terms of the contract and if Rice wants to leave but if teams like Chelsea get invovled then it could end up going out of our reach.

He isn’t going to cost 100m

Type of blue chip talent we should be seeking to bring in.

Moved to Bayern way too early, starved of playing time

Very talented boy, with great athleticism.

Still raw, though.

Gravenberch is going to be a top-level midfielder, if we got him in with Rice our next gen midfield is in place and ready for the next 8-10 years.

Gravenberch would be an excellent addition.

Seems insanely talented from the clips I saw.
I’d be very happy if we get him.

Seems like the bollocks Camavinga rumours. Dude is too much of a prospect for an elite club to dump so quickly.

I agree, but new manager (Tuchel) new ideas perhaps.

Goretzka and Kimmich are staples in midfield, Mount being linked and Musiala is class. Gravenberch could become disposable.

Gravenberch does probably stay put though.

Mount being linked with Bayern is hilarious.

Tuchel won the Champions League with Mount being one of the main men. I can see it happening.
