Arsenal transfers 25/26

I don’t like these Pino rumours. Would be a risky signing.

Why do you think he’s a risk? Just wondering, like.

I think misspelling his name to substitute a d instead of the n is a massive risk.

I suppose every transfer comes with an element of risk. However, a teenage Spaniard, who is 5’8 and somewhat lightweight , fills me with fear if he is going to be a big money signing.

I might have said the same about Luis Diaz before joined Liverpool though.

He’s 19, right? He could change his frame pretty quickly if the trainers get him on that @SRCJJ diet.

Also I get the fear of players being “lightweight” but I think the league has changed a lot in the last five to ten years.

Yeah, that’s fair. He could be an absolute star in the making.

I do understand the hesitation though. It’s totally reasonable. He’s a child and the last winger we bought has turned out to be an absolutely horrible deal for the club.

It is a little concerning that the club would pivot from a Raphinha who could play in a rotation with Saka and might even give the club the ability to negotiate a bit with Saka’s agent to a guy who is even younger than Saka. It would be a tremendous amount of faith/pressure put into/on a very young player.

so does Pep

I am just a bit confused of setting goals for Arsenal/Arteta…

Basically a number of us seeing that, getting top 4 is the minimum… then I saw some said, it also counts the on field performance, if we have injury crisis, if the refs fuck up… etc etc.

If there are so many sub-conditions, the requirement is not a requirement at all.

If we set the top 4 is the requirement, all unfortunate incidents and accidents and shits should have included in the equation already.
Top 4 is top 4, there is no ifs.
Even Arteta himself said, there is no negotiable (to everything and including himself)

I think we have the ingredients to get top 4 this season, and I believe we can do that.
When there is no top 4 in the end, sorry, it is what it is, and someone should go.

Very likely bullshit but calciomercato says we met with Milan to discuss Tonali.

Tonali would be a dream signing. Italian press though, nuff said.

If we go to Serie A, SMS is the midfielder that we need to come back with. Tonali is a very good all-rounder though. He can play deep or a bit more advanced.

I’d take a Barella too if we’re shopping in the Italian market.
