I see clips of him popping up without realising it’s from our youth matches and I always think of “Ooh, that’s neat from Odegaard” before realising that’s actually Dowman.
It is frightening how similar they move.
I have no idea what to expect from him next year to be honest. Totally uncharted territory given he is only 15 years old, has hardly played U21 football, but is also just ridiculously good and dominating players several years older.
He is well ahead of where Nwaneri was at the same age. But Nwaneri made a PL appearance around this age, then wasn’t really a factor for the first team for another 18 months.
I will be expecting absolutely nothing. Anything beyond that is a huge bonus.
