Highly rated, he decided to leave himself while the club wanted him to stay.

Not surprised Okongkwo is off given we are apparently signing several goalkeepers this summer and still have Runarson. I’ve no idea if he is or will ever be good enough but there’s definitely no path to first team football for him here.

Maybe. But let’s be honest how often do even the highest level academies produce talent worthy of the first team? Most of these kids will end up in lower league football or fade into obscurity. I would say less than 10% of players who play in our current youth setup will have any kind of reasonable football career.
