Weād be even further behind now and severely restricted financially if we hadnāt moved. The oil money coming into the game fucked up our potential to be the dominant force. No one see that coming at the time the plans for the Emirates began.
This summer transfer window is going to show why we moved. Signing someone like Rice for Ā£100m at Highbury simply wouldnāt have been possible.
