Arsenal Kits and Merch

Bingo. We have already re-designed the crest lol

Couldn’t we do what Rangers or Liverpool do? Have one logo for merch and one for the kit?

Wasn’t the rebranding all to do with copyright?

Yes exactly that !!

Badges and club crests use to be two different things but its branding that takes away from that and makes them redundant.
Liverpool sort of do it Have the Liverbird as the badge and a club crest. change it a lot though so dont have any real consistency with it.

I think the last redesign was back in 2002. To me the current crest looks outdated, didn’t know it was a logo but what @Stroller says makes sense. Probably will be stuck with it for a while yet then.

Yeah I don’t love the crest/badge/logo we have, feel like it’s a bit cartoony and bland.

Would prefer something more sleek and aesthetic. Something sharp and fresh.

It’s so late 90s/early 00’s I’m surprised it doesn’t have frosted tips, cargo shorts and a big speech bubble that says “HEY KIDZ SOCCER IS KEWL!”

I’d like a new badge, maybe something like the gun on the back of the new home top. Something just red and white. I’d also like to see “Arsenal” maybe above that crest and “London” on our badge. We need to attach the capital’s name to our brand before one of our tin-pot rivals does.
I had an email conversation with Gazidis back in the day where I made the point that “London” is a global brand in itself and it’s free. He wasn’t having it.

Ugh. Absolutely not. London is red already we don’t need to lay claim to it.

Also West Ham already done this when they moved into their free stadium.

Imagine just a small gold cannon on our kit instead of that wordart badge. Would look so classy.

just a small little cannon is very basic

Ehhh…I’m with @shamrockgooner on this one. It’s tacky to me. Adding London to the badge is redundant if you get your branding right. You wouldn’t have to have the city name there because the cannon would already make people think of London. I think about American football helmet designs. Dallas doesn’t have the city name on their helmet, it’s just a big obnoxious star but it’s become synonymous with Dallas. If the club did a redesign I think they should shoot for something more minimalist like that. It’s easy to adapt to a bunch of color schemes, easy to transfer onto tons of different types of merchandise and is instantly recognizable.

Yeah, simple logos/badges but with a historic look and feel always come across most appealing to me. Most of the spanish league have fantastic club logos. I think Real Madrid’s is perfect. Also really like Deportivo La Coruña’s

And I’ve said it before but Inter’s is perfect too. A great scalable branding graphic and a great football logo at the same time.

Back to the topic of arsenal kits, I’d fucking love this with a Milan badge.

Deportivo’s badge looks quite busy to me, not that simple at all. I mean, it’s got a fucking belt buckle on it ffs.
