Now we’re at the point when another kit collection is unveiled and new kit fatigue kicks in once again, I’ve been thinking of what fans actually want. Put aside any contractual issues these may cause;
Occassional 2006-style maroon or dark red kit for relevant anniversaries.
Mandated away colours of Yellow and/or Navy every season
More frequent use of red shorts to avoid using away kits
Mandated use of full non-monochrome badge on kits
Cannon replaces full badge on all kits
Replacement of home kits every 2 seasons
Ban the use of any colours other than red & white on home kit
Adopt black as our regular third kit
Adopt white/cream & red/maroon palates as a regular third kit
Exclusive to Arsenal Direct purchases only “no sponsors” versions of the replica kits.
Arsenal members get to vote on which of the alternative kits are kept for an additional season.
It fits with the info known. The stripes look too thin, unless adidas has reacted quickly to the negative feedback from the new international kits they’ve released and abandoned the fat stripes look.
Let’s get them to re-issue the 1989 Yellow/navy kit before we kick them into touch but, yes, it feels like they’ve run out of ideas. Maybe they should stop releasing 3 kits every season.
Miles better than the one a few posts above though. Quite like it, would probably be left as a Black Friday purchase now I know they do a good discount.
They do need some fresh ideas but there’s also only so much you can do with 3 new kits every year.
The blue is a banger and home will get default purchases by the masses.
