Aesthetically Emirates looks quite classy, that could be why I don’t think too hard about who I’m endorsing. There are some god awful messes on some kits. I particularly hate betting companies.
Like. Has some ‘cool’ factor going for it.
100% no collar is better
Why do you assume that women are treated like second class citizens in Arab countries? It’s certainly not the case in the UAE and in many countries across the MENA. There are cultural differences between the East and the West and you’ll find many in the East don’t like the cultural values of the western world. I know a hell of a lot of women who left England for Dubai / Abu Dhabi and are infinitely happier and safer there than they ever were in the UK
That’s how I shop lol, just checking something for future reference get home wallet hell of a lot lighter
If that’s what you think don’t go to southern Europe south America Asia etc the world’s attitude to women is bo different to any other “Arab” countries
I’d like the collared one. Just a shade more dressy, for more general occasions.
Ordered the long sleeve 3rd kit (white) and a football !?
You’re right that UAE is probably the best country of the Arab States for women’s rights. After reading your post I decided to do a bit of research on the Human Rights Watch website. They still have a way to go before men and women have equal rights but I was surprised how much progress they’ve made so thank you for pointing that out and correcting me.
And yes, I accept that cultural and religious values around the world are different. I had an Indian mate a few years ago who wasn’t even religious and her attitude was that she would marry a man, chosen by her parents and would never have to work “It’s not my job to contribute financially, he will pay for my lifestyle and for me to look after the home”. It was an eye opener as she was relatively well-off and doing a Doctorate at Essex University. Until then I assumed people did Doctorates to get a decent job, but it was more of a family expectation that she was well educated.
Was going to order the away and 3rd shirts. Not anymore. I’m waiting until Anfield. If that goes wrong, both shirts will cost me a combined £40 with name and number. We start the season well, I will rethink and order from the official website.
While this is gradually changing, most Indian families still view the girl child as someone that will grow up to be a homemaker first and foremost. And being reasonably well educated is expected, so she can take care of the children (their education etc.). Doing a Doctorate, with no ambitions of having a career is a bit rare though. I have college mates who went this route.
I have colleagues now whose wives, although educated, prefer not to work. I find that difficult to understand given how significant a difference a second salary can make, especially if the job is high paying.
Cannot find the post, but someone mentioned having a site selling cheap shirts - if they can DM me the link.
Looking to get something for my nephew who changes teams/kits every other week…
I had a good look at this yesterday in the club shop and thought it was fantastic. I loved the away shirt too…Overall, think they have nailed it this season with the three kits.
@MO_OA49 It’s a beaut. I actually prefer the material used for the replica version, so you’ve made a wise choice. You’d expect the player’s version to be more breathable I actually find the Authentic versions of all three kits quite sweaty. Currently in the replica version of the third kit and feeling nice and cool
@Mr_Nostalgia I like the idea, so long as it’s not a tribute to one of the worst home kits Nike made for us. I don’t mind a bit of red under the arms but this one took the piss. Shame it’s not going to have a cannon though.
Just seen this pop up on a Facebook group. Are they using AI to knock out these kits you can buy cheap on dodgy websites?! Ely Betten
The cannon reminds me of John Constable’s The Hay Wain… and that’s not a good thing.
Why does every AI image seem to be the stuff of nightmares?
