Arsenal Financials

The way things are looking, I think it’s quite likely that sooner or later the Kroenkes will want to cut their losses and sell the club. They have no deep emotional connection with the Emirates or even with the sport, it was primarily a business for them, a business that’s clearly in decline due to mismanagement. While the club has severely appreciated in value since Kronke bought it, that’s only due to the football market growing a lot. I can see a few more years of no UCL football leading to further financial problems.

Anyway, this can be either a good or a bad thing. But since I don’t like the present situation (and I imagine most of you don’t either), I welcome a change.

They won’t sell low. We’ll have same owners for 5+ years imho unless stupid money is offered by some crazy kajillionaire…

While we’re still a frontrunner for a euro league they’re going nowhere unless they desperately need money for some reason. At this point the only way we can decline that badly is to get relegated.

Even right now we’re potentially a decent coach and a signing or two away from being top 4, so we’re hardly a lost cause.

Premier League is still the biggest money hitter in town.
Being a part of it is a licence to make money. They feel no backlash in the states from fans. Going nowhere soon.

I think it’s impossible to say and depends what silly value offers they may or may not get.

They’ve certainly made a lot in alleged capital growth in a rising market despite doing a shit job strategically and with senior management appointments.

They must be concerned if we threaten relegation as that would wipe huge value from their asset but otherwise I struggle to see they share any of the fans angst about the mess the club has been descending deeper and deeper into from a playing football point of view. I’m sure they’d prefer it we were better but even in our current mess they could probably cash out for a big gain to another billionaire.

My bet is that we’ll only see the back of them after we’re relegated and then struggling to survive in the championship. No doubts at all that they’re more than capable of leading us all the way down to League 1 and the Papa Johns trophy.

Alternatively, perhaps Stan will die of old age and Josh will sell it to finance his rich kid drug habits when his old man is no longer around to tell him what to do.

For josh it’s probably a vanity piece. Plenty of money already for drugs. Sorry, but we are stuck.

The Kroenke’s are going nowhere.
They bought us for one reason and that’s to make money and we are worth way more than when they took over.
They will continue to do that, as well as drag us down, because this is football and if there is one guarantee in football it’s that, no matter what happens, supporters remain loyal to their club and our owners have taken full advantage of that.

Anyone defending Kroenke, just wait and see what happens at the end of this season if we finish mid table or lower.

Will they keep Arteta?
Probably
Will they get a new manager?
Probably not.
If they do get a new manager, will it be as underwhelming as Arteta or Emery?
Most definitely.

Ouch

Paying Ozil and other big earners that don’t play must be a substantial part of that.

Do you mean paying them or paying them off. The latter won’t show up until next year. :confounded:

Losses for this year probably be creeping towards the £100m mark, maybe even over

We still had several players earning massive wages last season that were either not playing, or rarely playing for us, which would be in these accounts.

I assume some of the ones we had to pay off this season will appear on next seasons accounts.
But, although we’ve lost quite a lot, we’re not the only club to be in this position and I doubt Kroenke’s going to have to get a job filling selves in one of his wife’s Walmart shops to supplement his income.

Don’t worry I’m sure we will still spend, spend, spend in the transfer window

Doesn’t look good heading into a desperate summer transfer window, time to bail us out in these unprecedented times KSE :sunglasses:.

This is why it made zero sense to join the ESL. We can compete just fine with almost any team in the world financially, and we have a very small amount of debt as well. We just waste our money for fun, and care less about winning than most other clubs in the world :grimacing::grimacing:

Arsenal’s lack of commercial growth continues to baffle me. Back in 2013 it was an obvious avenue to exploit given our dependency on matchday revenue.

Fast forward 8 years and we’re behind Tottenham. Shit like that needs explaining at one of those fans forum.
