Andrea Berta

If he can get decent dollar for the likes of Zinny, Kiwior, Fabio and Trossard build him a mini statue.

His approach has been brilliant

I asked ChatGPT to analyse OnlineArsenal over the past couple of weeks and report back on whether or not this sentiment is reflected in recent posts.

ChatGPT said that far too many people were being whingy cunts and shidding their pants about a perceived lack of activity when it isn’t even pre-season yet.

Tbf I’ve only seen one poster moaning about the lack of transfer activity on the forum and they’re notorious for it

Not sure whether he is any good with a barbecue, but with all this talk of concrete, maybe he should be known as Berta the Builder!

Or Berta the goatfucker :eyes:

To simplify for everyone Berta is doing his job. But it’ll be hard to get 3k likes if I say that.

I’ve taken that target down to 2,999 for you.

Edu leaving might just be the best thing to happen to Arsenal and Arteta. Berta has moved at some pace in the last 2 weeks and looks like he’s not done.

Like the way this guy operates.

As you mentioned in the other thread - we should see how he handles the departures before making a statement.

Zubimendi legwork was already done and none of the others should’ve been difficult for anyone to achieve tbh.

Not saying he’s bad, just think he’s doing a normal job so far. The best bit was fucking off sesko but equally not going for Garcia was a shame.

Edu beat out Man City for Rice and still got clowned in the end

Can only blame Edu for that tbh. There was no way he was coming here this summer after his 24/25 season.

Am impressed by how quickly he’s move for the incomings. I really thought Gyokeres would drag on till the start of the new season so getting him in for pre-season training is just amazing.

Quite possible this is true and Berta hasn’t done anything special. But even without counting Zubi and Kepa, he’s got Norgaard, Viktor, Noni and Mosquera done, and it’s still just the 14th of July, which is impressive.

But then again, maybe this is just he elation of finally getting a proper striker talking.

I wouldn’t describe this as just a ā€œnormalā€ job.

He has done a pretty remarkable job so far.

But for the final verdict on the whole window the improvement of our left side of the attack is highly critical imo.
I don’t think we have done that so far (unless Madueke is the new Di Maria, but I don’t see it in the slightest) and there will be no excuse left if we don’t do it.

We could have invested the money differently, and obviously there was/is a lot of money available. Also, we can still raise some additional money with a few outgoings, and we haven’t done nothing there yet.
I don’t want to go back on the whole Madueke stuff… But just for example… Combine that money with selling Trossard and maybe a few extra pounds with Lokonga, Vieira etc, we could have had Eze easily.
Just saying, there’s no excuse IF we have maybe reached the limits of our budget already and don’t improve that left side that has been a problem for us for years now.

Tbf to Edu, we’ve had windows where we did our business early too.

Let’s see how he does with selling as well, which was a main criticism for Edu.
So far, it sounds like we’ve kept firm on our valuations for Trossard(Fener) and Zinchenko(Milan).

I have absolutely no doubt in the guy. We have never signed this many players in such a short space of time, don’t forget while the men’s team gets all the headlines he’s also the DOF for the Women’s team. It’s been nothing short of amazing for the men, the women’s team needs another couple too (including a long-term replacement for Little).

I believe the 3rd attacking option for the men’s team is tied-up with Eze agreeing terms and us already talking to Palace about payment terms. The delay might be the need to bring in some funds, free-up some of the wage bill and ensure we don’t have so many 1st team players that not all can be registered for the ECL (I think we’re two over at the moment - including the expected incomings). We need to release 3 to get Hato in. The pressure will now be on the managers to make the teams gel and be ready for the new season. Berta has been a breath of fresh air. Both the men and women’s teams needed a much stronger squad to get us over the line in terms of winning the league. 2025/26 is when we really find out whether Arteta and Segers are now top-level managers and therefore good enough for Arsenal. It’s going to fascinating.

Scenes when Brentford sell Wissa and Mbeumo’s price goes further up.

These guys have been scrambling for weeks tryy to save some more money to make a new bid.
At this point they might cut off water and electricity at their facilities in order to do so.

It’s not long ago that players were queueing up to go to Man U and, as Wenger used to say, ā€œwe have to wait until they’ve done their business to see what’s left.ā€

But what a turn around, we have players saying they only want to play for us, while Man U are scrabbling around mid table clubs for players who aren’t that bothered about going there.

Berta was told what we needed and considering he’s only just started here, the transfers have been done quickly and efficiently so if it’s the same for the outgoing players, he’s doing a great job.
