it is silly to get worked up right now.
But I understand those that are worrying as this club doesn’t have a good track record.
The benefit of the doubt isn’t there.
Ever since I have been a supporter there has been transfer market silliness.

I think that’s fair.
And i think this is also fair.
But a lot of the angst people feel is their own fault too.
This is very true.
In my defence, exam stress and procrastination makes a man go crazy
In the current era, Apart from the Summer just gone (which was still dramatic, people conceding the title to City before the season started), which windows are the ones fuelling this mistrust?
The January’s were bad but I don’t consider it as important. Summer is where you get your house in order.
Last summer was poor from us but arguably City and definitely Liverpool did less.
IMO, the three summer windows previous were all really strong. You’re going to have hits and misses but we signed multiple players in each window that were big contributors to our rise from the scrapheap to near the pinnacle of the game.
If people are expecting 4-5 top class players to make a good window they have totally unrealistic perspectives on how the market works. If you get two really good players and another useful one its generally a big success.
Jan 24, Summer 24, Jan 25
All shite windows. From what I can see nothing has touched Summer 22.
That window literally transformed the trajectory of the club imo.
But we’ve been here before with the last regime too.
All we need is 1 extra push to get over the line, but the club never does it.
This is the same club that was willing to spend close to £100m on fricking Mudryk when Martinelli was the main guy in LW.
I just don’t trust them. It’s like they’re allergic to success, it’s so frustrating.
It’s early days in the window but it looks like everyone around us is making serious moves and we’re just activating deals we already had done about a year ago.
I think my frustration isn’t really to do with this window at all and more so just the culmination of the last 19 years in the Emirates era where we’ve always been nearly-men.
Yeah where did all that motivation go?
Interesting
we gonna go cheap by bagging players on the last year of contracts and go after them heavily. Juve seem to be that way picking up talents for near nothing.
That is Marotta’s thing (current Internazionale president).
Yo Berta, you’re supposed to be signing players, not your staff. Get on with it man.
16th June, window’s open.
Anytime now people.
Yups, ideally we have Zubi announced by July 1st, with the others arriving shortly after/before pre-season.
Then I imagine we’ll get a month of trying to sell players/renew contracts..
With the tailend of August focused on probably getting 1 more deal done by deadline day.
Now or never, Berta!
This lack of barbeque photos is unnerving.
Tapas is the new BBQ.
I think he’s more of an intermittent fasting kind of chap.
I find it to be a great way to live, albeit very difficult to start.
So far he’s seemingly wrapped up 4 transfers, he’s in negotiations for another couple of attacking players.
Let’s see how he does on the outgoing front but so far he seems to be working at pretty decent pace
The true test haha
