Other than the Mosquera deal I must be missing something. Josh Kroenke deserves all the credit imo for reaching into his pocket so much and sanctioning all the deals to fill our gaps.
I hope all these players sold have sell on fees aswell before they get sold for big money

Interestingly the narrative about player sales has vanished now we’re signing players. It’s all made up.
Maybe he’s trash again when Zinchenko and Vieira are still here post deadline day, who knows.

Yes, I believe the point was that Edu signed nobody in January, which is in fact very true as he was on the dole at the time.

Can’t believe it but I’ll defend Edu a little bit, we shouldn’t act like he kept us 8th. We did become title challengers. That is an fact.
It’s a very productive window but all we did was sanction a lot of spend. Which is fine because that’s what we wanted (and needed). But that probably wasn’t even possible years ago given we’ve recently become a CL regular again so I loathe to hold that against him.

I’m not going to slate Edu. The reality is that he helped get us where we are now and that needs to be remembered. He done some great deals, including a transfer record for us in Declan Rice, which I will always be thankful for and all the rest. Yes he had some some misses, but I think he got the majority right and only a few wrong.
Berta however is showing why he is a top class operator and is helping to take us to that next level.
I do actually agree with this overall, I just think that last summer at that crucial point was a critical failure.
And the last two transfer windows just look even worse when placed next to this summer.
