I am not a fan of baguette but that’s a great goal tally even for Ligue 1. Considering Mbappe has got only 1 goal more.

With the added context, he’s probably the league’s player of the season.
It really puts into question how really good is that French league. Fair play to him though. Always worked his heart out in a Arsenal Jersey but was always a frustrating player for me as well as he’s someone that you felt could have done more at times.
No doubt the league helps with his goal tally (as do the 6 pens he’s scored - he didn’t really get to take any here cos of Auba) but I think it’s mostly a confidence thing and being trusted to be the main man.
His only bad season for us really was the last one where his finishing completely evaded him and he had put on a bit of weight. That goal tally was shocking but he never put in less than 100%.
Either way nothing about that magnifique goal above is to do with the league, just pure class 
No wonder he’s the 2nd best scorer in Ligue 1, the guy’s in top shape, doing track as a side hustle.

Great player and could have been a brilliant player if we had players who where actually intelligent enough to supply him with through balls .
