Albert Sambi-Lokonga

Good loan, Palace desperately need a CM who can pass the ball too so the fit might be OK as long as Paddy doesn’t murder him for being too soft. Hopefully he pumps up his value a bit for when we sell him in the summer.

So all in all, we will have one midfielder less in our squad when the transfer window slam shuts, Lokonga and El Neny OUT and Jorginho IN

The big caveat here was that Lokonga was useless and Elneny should have been nothing more than an emergency option.

Worth noting Jorginho has an excellent availability record, so unless the Arsenal curse fucks him up, we should be good.

Would still be a bit mad to not have another CM available

We’ll be fine. We can recall someone if it’s really urgent.

Maybe like Wilf he finds his true level here.

If Crystal Palace want Lokonga, it means they have seen him play and think he’s good enough.

Who’s doing their scouting?
Stevie Wonder or Mr Magoo?

Lokonga shouldn’t be shit though. Maybe the Palace loan will be the making of him?

Make or break for the kid, playing at Crystal Meth FC should help strengthen this lad ?!

Only 3 CM’s for the rest of the season due to this loan, shows were Arteta stands with Lokonga ATM

Really interesting how little people value Vieira, when we were signing him he was meant to be some kind of multi functional midfield extraordinaire who could play in a plethora of positions.

I’m not even that high on him and I reckon he could be viable where Xhaka plays for a game or two. You could also put Trossard in the hole behind the striker which is his favoured position, and then move Odegaard to 8. Although I’m loathed to change the position of our most influential player the same way I would never move Zinchenko or White from their important positions within the system.

ESR could be an answer though.

This is great for us.

Just home from work so catching up on the days news as haven’t stopped today…very happy to see this loan deal, which has sort of come out of nowhere. Think this could do him the world of good to get some regular playing time. Hopefully, he can’t play against Arsenal! Really good move by Arteta and Edu and can only see Lokonga come out a stronger player.

A rowdy Selhurst Park singing this in unison when they are battering City 3-0.

Little do they know they’ll be singing this in dread, not pride :joy:
