Ainsley Maitland-Niles

If he could close down wingers before they make crosses, instead of standing beside the RCB, that would be great.

Just do that, and his performances at RB will improve exponentially. I think he and we all should accept he’s a RB now.

Not a right back, barely a footballer.

Lol. No.

Looked like a headless chicken out there.

Apart from the assist was absolutely terrible, I don’t want to see him playing RB after Hector is back in. Go out and sign one.

76% passing accuracy
5 times lost the ball by being dispossed or misscontrolling

Shouldn’t be at the club

He’s legit poverty, and we’re a fucking peasant club for persisting with him since January.

The whole game I was like “why the fuck don’t we have another actual right back”.

Upgrades in both full back positions coming in the next few weeks and I can’t wait, particularly at right back

He was the worse player on the field today for me, gave away the ball so much. He needs taking out of the right back position for his own good. The lad has talent but it ain’t at right back.

I’m worried that people are seriously overrating Bellerin.

Our problems at right back will not be going away because Bellerin comes back, people forget how incredibly suspect he was defensively.

Nah, my boy Héctor gonna sort this mess out and then eradicate world hunger.

Hmm, I can see him eradicating world hunger but still think we will finish 5th if he comes back and Emery lasts the season.

In most instances, I don’t think people are overeating Bellerin. He’s appropriately being rated as being much better than AMN in both attacking and defensive respects.

Agree with you though, in that he is being overrated if people think that he’s going to magically solve things.

He’s definitely suspect, but he’s leagues ahead of AMN, so I’m very much looking forward to his return.

Genuinely don’t think Bellerin will do better. He’ll continue getting skinned like he has in the past barring his breakout season.
Offensively the only area he can improve us on, although that’s also questionable.

I honestly rate AMN as the worst RB in the league so even though I don’t really consider Belboy to be all that I think he’ll improve us massively.

Bellerin is better than AMN but if we carry on playing a diamond and allow the opposition full backs to gallop unopposed down the flanks, Bellerin will struggle similarly.

Bellerin at least won’t have those unexplainable brain farts that are becoming a Niles trademark.

Even AMN coming out and saying he’s too shit to play at right back.

On this day, Zidane is still reeling from the savage beating Thomas Tuchel gave him and @Castiel does not rate Maitland-Niles.

I’d probably take him in midfield over Xhaka if I’m honest.
