Ainsley Maitland-Niles

Fuck this cunt off now. Sick of this blame someone else mentality for fuck ups

Chambers and Niles owe a lot to the home grown rule as why their still here for now.
As much as anything hope the new youngsters coming in accelerates their departures.

This is nothing compared to the amount of swearing and blaming that goes onto a pitch in 90 mins. I’m sure Emery and his team will go back and explain what they ‘both’ did wrong btw. Not too fussed about it.

It was a communication issue. Both at fault.

What a fucking comical goal though. Good to see nothing has changed at the back :arteta:

I thought they were just playing Charades and doing a Trippier/Lloris mockup. They nailed it too imo!!

Really good today.

Love the hustle to create the goal.

Solid defensively as well. Some important interceptions.

Credit where it’s due - this was a good performance at RB for him.

He made a couple of really important challenges where he completely won the ball from the Newcastle player in a dangerous position, and also the interception + assist was great.

Probably the best I’ve seen him play. Fair play to the kid.

Playing like this Bellerin can ease into it later on, was up to the task both defensively and going forward.

MOTM for me.

Great game. Really loved the way he robbed Saint Maximin of the ball later in the game.

Have a good feeling about Ainsleys development. Breakout year if all goes well fitness wise.

Too talented for RB. Agreed?

He’s growing into that RB role now. Beast of a performance. Quietly confident with him in the squad now more than before.

I’d have given him man of the match… crucial dispossession’s and interceptions including the one that led to the only goal of the match. That was all him.
9/10 performance IMO.
Still think he would kill it as an attacking mid, but the boss is the boss.

Too suspect defensively for right back. He was great today in tricky situations but you’ll see him go to pieces under no pressure in easier positions as the season goes on.

He’ll have his use as a utility player but I don’t see how you play him ahead of Guendou or Willock who look far superior players.

Good game for him today. His weakness as a fullback is off the ball not on it. Pleased to see him clear his lines with long balls at times and not invite pressure on to our back line.

It would be interesting what you’ll do with him once Hector comes back. If not part of the midfield 3 I say push him forward as LM or RM given his abilities.
