If he wasn’t leaving I’d assume he’d play a part in the cup ties, probably starting against Forest at least. Do we just hope Xhaka and Sambi can play all 5 games with no cards or knocks and then be rested?
Someone could fill in against Burnley I reckon but I’d rather he was around until at least Spurs was done (or maybe a day or two before when we know everyone else was fit). That’s only 10 days or so from now.

Even if we bring someone else in I’d still rather have him around the next 3 weeks.
Roma’s next two games are Milan and Juve. Can’t see him getting game time in either. Then they have a cup game and Empoli. They can wait if they really want him.

If we’re bringing somebody else in, I’m all for it. I’d also be happy to loan him out after Spurs or even just after the second leg against Liverpool if we know that neither Xhaka or Sambi are injured or have Covid.

Nah let him feel unloved in a different country for a change. Get himself a peroni and pizza and chill. Feel like the blokes entire Arsenal career has been such a non starter he might as well see some different sights

He can but for once we’re actually on it early so I’d just let it ride and hope we’re as proactive in bringing a new guy in.
Though tbh even if we don’t bring someone in I don’t really care whether he stays or goes. Don’t think he’s good enough to change our fortunes regardless

hmm… over the summer it tended to be one out one in, so it could be Wijnaldum.
Good job getting the buyout taken out (for Ainsley). Leave it open instead of a stingy 10m Euros.

He’s a more than competent back up should we need him. We seemingly now just have to hope that we don’t. Bizarre we’d let him go now when we have less options than when we blocked him in August though.

Looks like Roma were actually in a rush for those matches. They’ve said to heck with it for the buyout, just saying get the straight loan finalised pronto.
It is suprising it happened so quickly but I’ve never been convinced by his quality and don’t see what everyone else sees. Hopefully this is the first step in getting a bit of that Iwobi/Willock type money for him.
Hopefully he tears it up out there.

For what is worth, he is brought in as a starter not a backup. Perhaps he misses the Milan game but he certainly starts v Juve.
