If I remember albeit vaguely talkSport had the same agenda against Robbie and his tv .
I think it was either Martin Keown or Simon Jordan put the exactly the same questions to Robbie and there followed an almighty radio dust up .
It was Simon Jordan.
Both Ray and Simon knew what they were doing, they’re trying to wind Robbie up to make the headlines and subsequently get more hits.
Look at the latest one, they’re absolutely loving it when Robbie starts losing it.

I love Ray because he’s a legend and generally a very likeable character, but this time he was being a dick and that was definitely a dick move. They called the guy on knowing what AFTV is to talk about the Owners then started taking shots at him about a completely different matter. Day gone down a lot in my estimation after that.
Call Robbie whatever you want, but man like Crucial Robbie and his brother, been Arsenal fans and going to games since like the 80s (when the stands would of been a lot more hostile to black fans). He rarely ever misses games, home or away, follows the youth team and even all the crappy pre season tours, the guy bleeds Arsenal and absolutely loves the club. Fair enough his platform is a bit of a pantomime sometimes, but those people like them or not are the hardcore fans who go to all the games and always support this club. People can just choose not to watch them if they don’t like them.

I don’t care what anyone says about AFTV, whatever your feelings about it Parlour was being a complete tool here. Robbie was invited there to discuss a hugely important topic and Parlour basically was flippant about it and kept pivoting to “you only go for hits, you only go for hits”. Well yeah he runs a YouTube channel, and TalkSPORT are all about ‘hits’ also.
Parlour is basically attempting to paint Robbie as not being a proper fan, yet he’s the one actually trying to discuss the issue here while Parlour is just acting like a child the entire time.

Talksport’s agenda here is so obvious. Discrediting / mocking AFTV because it’s a rival platform that generates loads of views and hits.
As many have pointed out already, cunts like Durham, Brazil, Parry etc have been spouting purposefully provocative bullshit to rile up supporters and boost listening figures for YEARS. It’s their entire fucking business model lol, the hypocritical cunts.
If AFTV gains popularity at the expense of Talksport then more power to them. For all the ridiculousness and hysteria that AFTV creates, they still offer a medium for Arsenal fans to express their views, and there are some good takes on there.
And I do think the club canvasses platforms like AFTV to gauge fan opinion / satisfaction. The more hysterical AFTV gets, the more chance there is for the club hierarchy to force change (even if only by a small percentage).

The irony is for all these platforms that talk down AFTV they continue to give it publicity whether it be mentions on Sky, Talksport or whatever.
If it wasn’t for this forum I’d never know about the content of Talksport but I do know it has a piss poor rep in this space and so for Parlour to be on there going at Robbie makes him look at utter fool. Not a good look for him at all and I agree with @BizzySignal in that I now think less of him as a result.
I haven’t watched AFTV for a few years now but I can’t knock Robbie’s grind to build what he has, if someone doesn’t like it then no one is forcing you to watch.

The thing Robbie has a point about, and I’ve seen this multiple times when he’s been interviewed, is that the people who slam him for only providing content for when Arsenal lose never watch his stuff when we win. It even came out in this interview, Robbie asks Parlour if he watches the videos after Arsenal win and he didn’t answer and just moved on. If you’re going to slam a person for only focusing on negativity and failure but you’re ignoring all of their content that is put out whenever there is some positivity, you’re just choosing what aspect of AFTV you pay attention to and the ones you don’t. I completely understand peoples reservations about how things manifest on that channel at times and I’ve felt really infuriated by them also, but the way Robbie gets attacked as though he is uniquely seeking “hits” and no one else is makes no sense at all.

Too bad that, Arsenal don’t win much these days, and people/certain fans like to view the videos when we were losing, which get most/most attention from all.
