AFCON

Probably the first thing, Arteta probably saw Egypt’s football there and got a boner.

Needs his key lieutenant back

One of the pundits said that Salah has put Egypt on the map and deserved credit for it.

Clear off Infantino, ffs

How comical was that. The suits taking the trophy up into the stands only for Koulibaly to say fuck that and bringing it back down before lifting it.

Fucking hell longest wait for the trophy lift ever

Tottenham take issue with you on this one.

Just thankful Egypt didn’t squirm their way to the most unconvincing and shit Afcon win ever. Such a terrible side, can’t believe they got past some of the teams they went through.

If it wasn’t going to be Cape Verde, Cameroon, Morocco or Comoros I’m glad it was Senegal.

Glad Egypt didn’t win after they had 4 games go to ET and 3 of them penalties.

Congratulations to Senegal!!

Only so many penalty shoot outs you can have in a tournament before the integrity of the comp gets questioned.
This was one tbh.

This is precisely why African football suffers… the president decides who to appoint as the new head coach. I have no real idea if Rigobert Song has the coaching credentials to manage his country but there’s no real process.

Even at the big nations like Morocco, Algeria, Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast… it’s just a merry go round of the same managerial names.

What’s this African nations championship that’s going on ?

It’s the one where the teams must be made of players playing locally.

Special player. The top Nigerian footballer in the world at the moment.

I remember seeing some BTS stuff for Leicester when he was there and everyone was banging on about hard he works and that he was always in the facilities training and studying clips.

Seen the Cape Verde vs South Africa penalty shootout in the pub

80 percent of the penalties were missed :joy:

Cape ridiculously kept going for the same side every time and the SA keeper had an easy life saving them

Returns today. Morocco playing now against Comoros.

Rahimi missed a penalty that we were lucky to get.
