Deserved player of the season year before last, our best player not named Aubameyang last season despite Emery’s typically incompetent treatment of him, he’s a top class midfielder…not sure what there isn’t to be a fan of.

Ramsey is one of those players who have rarely ever impressed me. By and large he’s wasteful, selfish and injury prone and the only upsetting part about him leaving was that we didn’t get a nice fee for it.

Yeah, I’m not sure what more he had to do after then to convince Arsenal fans, it’s kinda baffling how little he was rated despite being clearly one of our best players if not our best in his last seasons here. Even Juve making him an important part of their project hasn’t stopped Arsenal fans thinking they know something Juve doesn’t.

I’m asking you what he did after 16/17 for your opinion on him to change as drastically as it is. You went from considering the 15/16 incarnation of Wilshere as being better than him and calling for Ramsey to be moved on. What did he do after 16/17 for him to go from being average to you rating him so highly?
And I’d also love to know what Juventus signing him had to do with anything? This is the same club who tried to shift Dybala so they could sign Lukaku and have a 33 year old a 4 year contract worth well over £100m (after spending £90m on him) and also spent heavy to bring a past it Bonucci back letting the talented and highly rated Caldara go to Milan in exchange.
Juventus transfer policy has been dreadfully confusing and flawed for a couple seasons now so I wouldn’t use their capture of Ramsey on mega wages as a measure of their excellence.

Ramsey is wasteful, has a mediocre first touch, his short-passing isn’t great, he is slow in his handling. There is enough not to like when it comes to Ramsey.
In Turin he is part of a machine. Not an important part.

Not really. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he is becomes a success there. He’s the type of role player who I think can grow/excel if surrounded by better players/a better team. But I still think Ramsey himself is not that great.

That’s a statement you can make about any play. Put (insert player name) in that team with better players and watch them flourish. If he becomes a main stay in they midfield that would down to his talent as a player
