That too when City have Everton and Chelsea away.. surely gonna drop more points at least in of these two
City can only get a maximum of 85 points nowâŚwe just need 5 more wins out of 7 PL games remaining! Or 4 wins 1 draw, if we beat City!
Irrespective of the City v Arsenal match, I still think they will drop some more points before the end of the season.
If we beat City will be the final nail in the coffin a 6 pointer swing in essence ![]()
and would love to win it like that
!?
Idk if this is the year but every game that goes by I grow more and more confident
Itâs nearly there. Iâd expect another twist somewhere though. A win at the Etihad ends it all.
Your maths isnât mathing here. We need 5 wins and a draw to guarantee or 6 wins.
Woke up this morning and it properly hit me that we are on the brink here.
Like, I know we could throw it away, but it really doesnât look likely. City are hanging by a thread.
I donât want to hear any bollocks about City throwing it in, even if it is true. We looked down and out after Wolves and then proceeded to win five in a row.
Yes youâre correct, sorry, was assuming that we maintain goal difference with the 5 wins.
I ideally want us to win it at the Emirates, so I can be there, so have earmarked either the Fulham or Burnley match for our title win! Fingers crossed we can keep the momentum. ![]()
Whilst the points gap has extended last night, we still need to win the vast majority of our EPL games.
We can only afford 1 more loss + win 5 + draw 1 to end the campaign with 86 pointsâŚ
City on the other hand have to win all 8 remaining games, which is a tall order for anyone in this current league.
If we draw twice, lose 1 and win 4, then we end on 84 points.
Either way weâre in the driverâs seat and City have a mountain to overcome.
I think the next game week will be decisive if we beat Bournemouth, and City drop points against Chelsea, who realistically need to win that match to keep up with Utd, Villa, and Liverpool for a CL place next season.
I think if we extend our lead against them, we will then finally relax, and psychology for City it will mean they are out of the race.
Well, itâs been so long weâve been in this situation I actually have forgotten how to feel about it tbh. I was just 16 when we last won the league, and here I am starting to get quite confident yet a bit cautionary due to so many fuck ups all these years. I guess itâll start sinking in more with each passing gameweek. One think I do know this morning is Iâm quite looking forward to our next game.
Absolutely loving
my work team meetings as im the only Arsenal supporter on there and the amount of times im asked about the title, i just sit there and say to them all, yea but one game at a time !?
I cant believe we have 4 wins in a row against 4 difficult teams and City have dropped points twice since the dark day at Wolves, I thought that was the birmingham moment and we steadied the ship again. It is still not done by a long way but I am starting to dream.
Honestly, veer, itâs the right mentality to have. Nothing is done until the fat lady sings (though last night did feel like an almighty step towards securing the title)
Just love the satisfaction of tempering my answers with a sly grin and stating nothing is done yet, knowing full well we are nearly there !? Man I loved going Highbury and canât wait for those streets to erupt again !?
Yes sir.
Incredible position to be inâArsenal get greater than 16 from the final 7 and it doesnât matter what City does. 15 likely enough with the superior goal differential.
City missteps just add to that margin and lower the total from 16, of course.
Will be very interesting to see how both teams approach the Sunday final.
Strangely, City need Sunday more than we do. A loss absolutely sinks their season. A win for us and we are looking at a possible domestic treble.
Itâs always a relief after waking up to find out if wasnât all another vivid dream.
