The Open Play goals + injuries concern are the only two seasons I can think of that will stop us from winning this league.
A few weeks ago I held the same opinion as you. I still donāt think Arteta can get us over the line, but I no longer believe that sacking him in May (even if we end up trophy-less) is the best thing for Arsenal F.C. in the long run.
As expressed earlier, countless of managers win trophies, then get sacked immediately afterwards for poor performances soon after; itāll likely happen to Slot too if their form continues.
It really isnāt worth taking a gamble on another manager, when our system is basically complete.
At very least, the putrid, predictable football seems to have disappeared which is a positive. If we can sort the Open play situation, then weāre golden imo.
Letās do one for a league if only headed goals are scored and maybe one for left footed goals and one for right footed.

Loving how this open play agenda is being pushed at us now hahahhaa
Butt hurt opponent fans and pundits.
Are Arsenal the only team that gets awarded free kicks and corners? Others are welcome to score from free kicks and corners. Or they should learn how to defend them instead of crying about it

The anti-Arsenal agendas are brilliant:
- Over celebrating for scoring last minute winners
- Cleaning the ball with a towel
- Challenging the GK during corners
- Scoring from corners
- Scoring from any set-piece
- Delaying the restart
- Taking long throw-ins
- Taking too long to throw the ball
- Playing defensively and not opening yourself up to get battered 5-0 by the big teams
- Imitating the celebration of a guy who called your manager a clown and to ābe humble, eh?ā
- Not scoring all your goals from open play
What have I missed??

Neville and Carragher have had their go at trying to heap the pressure on. Fucking rats. Yes we are going to win it and will not be giving you the āBottled it againā narrative that youāre both waiting to run with.

Weāre in this position having already played 3 of the 4 historically toughest away trips at Anfield, The Geordiedome and Very Old Trafford. Okay we lost to Liverpool but then theyāve generously donated those three points to other teams since.

I think that covers it tbhā¦Iām sure there will be more if we continue to remain top of the tableā¦
Just canāt wait for the tears and tantrums that will come if we end up winning it!
Some of it from our own āfansā

even if we drop points at any point soon I reckon City and Liverpool will anyway, that being said I reckon we beat Burnley and Sunderland in the next 2 games before international break, would also be even better if the others drop even more points as well
the table could be looking sexy going into that break
I think those two next games are key, plus after weāve played Sunderland, and hopefully got all 3 points, City play Liverpool. They also both have two tough fixtures next - Liverpool play Villa at Home and City play Bournemouth. We play before both next weekend, so we can apply maximum pressure if we win.

Liverpool play Man City in two weeks. If we beat Burnley and Sunderland, Man City will be 9 points behind us going into that game and Liverpool 10 points behind! Assuming both win next week, that is.

We could be 11 points ahead of City and 12 ahead of Liverpool if they both lose next week and then draw when they play each other
I hope they now understand the significance of the late goal and why Martinelli celebrated. Had we lost that game, we couldve been in a totally different position right now, as it wouldāve been the second loss of the season and we wouldnt be on a 10 game unbeaten run, right now.

Would much prefer this of course.
Doesnāt matter⦠those fuckers will just find any reason to discredit us.

Has to be the best chance in a long long time.
Pool not looking great and City are also not invincibles like before while we have improved drastically at least in defense.

No KDB, no Rodri, they are just another good team.
I donāt feel comfortable talking about the Title race this early in the season.
4 weeks back Liverpool were not playing well but still winning and the narrative was, āimagine when they do click and start playing like we know they canā. 4 weeks back Amorim was under heaps of pressure.
Things can change very quickly, especially with injuries, even with our squad. Rice, Saliba and Calafiori picked up niggles from yesterdayās game. We have the squad now but we also have horrid luck with injuries. Iāll wait till January before getting into any sort of Title talk.
