Haha I welcome being Scotland’s group again!! I think we had some good games against each other, and we’ve not played against you as much as Ireland or Armenia so it’s still quite a novel fixture for me.
Also a little bit of nostalgia in it for me because I remember the first ever game I played on FIFA 98 was Denmark vs Scotland which kickstarted and long and storied career in FIFA for me
4 team groups whats up with that
4 team groups are for the ones that start their qualifying campaign later in the year due to the nations league playoffs or nations league quarter finals
The qualifying seems a bit more risky this time. Can see a few big nations missing out.
Edit - maybe not, having just looked at our group
Group H is a thriller, if you like farmers league style football.
Austria, Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Cyprus, San Marino.
Finally. It only took them 87 million years to give the rest of us what ITV gives England
Refs cracking down on the important things as usual.
Just watched the national anthems at Wembley and the commentator said “England’s first meeting with Latvia’s men’s team.”
It’s a good job he pointed that out to avoid anyone who might be confused.
Latvia just missed a sitter.
Some dive that, I thought it was a pen before seeing the replay.
What a free kick. Could not be further in the top corner.
England score, good free kick from Reece James.
No PL fixtures because England had to play two qualifiers against teams that would struggle to stay in the Championship.
When will they stop this nonsense?
As David Raya said the other day, even if these internationals didn’t happen the calendar would just be filled up with other games. The players would still be playing.
It’s not going anywhere. But we do enjoy reading your complaints every interlull
One block pure club football, one block pure internationals. I’ll always stick to this suggestion.
Unfortunately that Club World Cup bullshit whatever they’re throwing in June kills this idea. Because that’s what we asked for
It’s true, there would still be other football but the empty seats against Latvia would suggest that supporters couldn’t care less about meaningless international friendlies and one sided qualifiers, especially when players come back injured.
Not about bums on seats. Plenty on eyeballs will tune in. You’re actually part of the problem by watching if you think about it.
