2019/20 season predictions

Hopefully it’s all bollocks or arsenals in for another bad season

Is this anyone else’s pre season ritual? :raised_hands:

I subscribe so got it in the post last weekend, read it already

I like it, but because it’s a monthly mag it’s obviously not up to date enough to include all the transfers. Like, we’re clearly going to win the league now but Pépé hasn’t been accounted for. Smh.

Basically copied Bl1nk until I saw he committed the frankly unforgivable sin of putting Tottenham to win something, so that had to go :expressionless:

City and Liverpool will challenge for the league title again, with the signings we’ve made I’m going for 3rd for us and then Wolves 4th (I honestly reckon) no lie

If Arsenal or United don’t win the Europa League they have failed miserably. They are better than any Spanish, German or Italian team in the EL. Except if Atletico or so drops again.

Predictions/wishful thinking

Currently I’m still going to have us missing top 4 as I still think we’ll concede 50+ goals again as we’ve done nothing to improve our defence, in fact it’s slightly worse with Kos departure. Hopefully that changes in the next 43 hours or so… the clock is ticking.

I think if we had a more elite offensive manager we could sneak top 4 with our attacking talent, but I don’t think Emery is that guy to get us scoring 85 goals or so to compensate for the 50 we’ll concede…

Mate. Missing out on top four will be a massive disgrace. We might not have gotten any defenders but it’s not just about who we have in the back line. With Ceballos we have a midfielder who can actually keep possession and make us less vulnerable, with Pepe they got a player who can stretch the opposition defense and keep them on their toes etc. Just by improving the team we should have improven the defense.

No excuses now re. the squad. I won’t hear it.

Also probably win the Europa.

If we don’t finish top 4 and win the Europa league this season with the signings we’ve made there is no God and football should be cancelled.

We’ve done everything we can to set ourselves up for success, now let’s watch Xhaka start 57 games and do his best to sabotage it all.

One thing I hadn’t considered was the Thursday to Sunday thing. Chelsea have Champions League football so won’t be slaves to that like us and United. I wonder if that’ll make any difference?
