Swerve addressing a shitty rumour started by uncle Dave and making it about racism is crazy.

Just about to start number 4, 3 was very good!

Just finished 3 too actually.

I thought they didnā€™t explain the screwjob very well to an audience that didnā€™t know what it was. Didnā€™t really cover that Bret was not only refusing to lose to Shawn but refusing to lose in Canada. Also the potential for Bret to end up with the WWF belt on WCW television.

The screwjob is maybe the only thing where Iā€™m totally on Vinceā€™s side. I have no sympathy for Bret at all on that. Also he came across like a proper twat throughout that episode.

In 3, where Bret breaks down over Owen

4 disgusted me in just how unsympathetic Vince was about Over the Edge 99. Couldnā€™t even pay lip service to the tragedy.

5 was an easier watch, though it does go into Vinceā€™s treatment of women.

I only have ep 6 left.

It was typical Vince. Passing the blame on to the rigging company. If the book stopped with me Owen wouldnā€™t have even been up there.

ā€œThank God the crowd didnā€™t have to see thatā€.

Barely a thought on Owen. Really quite a deep-rooted vile agenda

Yep, disgusting. You seen the part about Benoit yet?

Thatā€™s ep 6, right? Will watch it at some point today, mate

We watched first two episodes last night. The misses doesnā€™t watch wrasslin so she was really taken aback by some of the stuff going on and the backstage stories etc.

Been a pretty interesting watch so far.

Part way through episode 3. Entertaining stuff so far, but I donā€™t think Iā€™ve heard anything new yet, and thatā€™s as a pretty casual, mostly-former fan.

Perhaps he should have taken the hint when AEW decided not to sign him all those years ago when his best friend Cody was still there and had power.

Timing is everything. There was an opening over a decade ago for WWE to do something with him and they didnā€™t, in fact they went ahead and buried him instead.
Even if he went back to WWE heā€™d be on the chopping block again in no time.

The guy is his own biggest fan, heā€™s not a draw at all

Heā€™s managed to do more to keep his career alive on the indies than I might have thought. But thatā€™s it really. Thereā€™s no potential in a WWE return.

As reported by Dave Meltzer, the agreement will begin on January 1 2025, and will run through to December 31 2027 with the option of a 4th year being added. In terms of the financials, WrestleVotes have stated that a source close to the situation has told them that it is closer to $185 million as opposed to the previously reported $150 million, which Sean Ross Sapp and Andrew Zarian have both stated is accurate. It is also noted by Meltzer that the new deal will make the company ā€œvery profitableā€, even if the rumoured third show does not come to fruition.

Not bad for an ā€œIndyā€ :ramsdale:

Anyone planning to watch Bad Blood?
Theyā€™re teasing something big for it.

Probably the Rock coming back

He has to be involved somehow youā€™d think. Theyā€™re clipping Pat asking Cody if the ā€œbig guyā€ is returning this week and then Cody says theyā€™ll be airing some vignette at Backlash with huge title implications.

I got suspicious when there were reports that Punk v Drew 3 wasnā€™t main eventing. Made me think they were planning something big around the tag match so it had to close the show.

Crown Jewel is next, thatā€™s gonna be a crazy payday for Rocky if he does something there.

Hadnā€™t heard anything about that because I thought Iā€™d watch this show and consequently avoiding such speculation.

Thanks for the spoiler if thatā€™s what ends up happening, and even if it isnā€™t, that casts a shadow over the show now until it does or doesnā€™t happen.

Gotta show off that useless chinstroking somehow I suppose.
