Weirdly I’m still watching. Apparently there’s no option to watch from the start on the network when the show is live. So I’ve seen the Judgement Day match and the main event and I’m now suffering through a turgid Rhodes Vs Owens.
Funnily enough the Punk / McIntyre match is mainly what I’m here for.
Well @GC-Maniac the Punk match was decent but it was weighed down by a stupid stipulation where to win the wrestlers had to touch all four turnbuckles in succession. I don’t remember WWE ever using that for a strap match before. It felt very WCW.
Maybe they didn’t want a pin or submission finish ahead of the Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood.
I think they did JBL vs Eddie and Umaga vs Punk in a strap match
Did those have the turnbuckle thing? The last strap match I remember WWE doing was Bryan Vs Wyatt and that was just a normal no dq match except for the strap.

Nobody has ever forgiven Chris Benoit. Fans have come to understand that concussion is serious business and companies need to protect wrestlers. Also that Benoit never had any of the protection he should have from repeated head injuries, but that’s as far as it goes.
