Ah fuck sorry dude

No worries. Bit intrigued to see how it happened now.
I suspect that means FTR v Briscoes are closing the show which is well deserved.

Was this any good?

Better than the last one.

Edit: Great PPV btw, definitely recommend it. Love the newlook for this AEW-produced ROH. Production felt on point. Really keen to see a weekly TV show for this with its own unique roster and storylines.

Again, not surprised. Great wrestler, but just like his girlfriend doesn’t sound very bright.

Apparently he may be done with wrestling which is a shame. Bit of a tricky situation as he doesn’t really have too many choices. I can’t see him in WWE because of his size and the clear abuse of steroids, although he may be able to find a loophole in the system like some others did.
I think if he doesn’t retire he’ll perhaps end up in Impact with his girlfriend.

Edit: Looks like he deleted the Twitter account of his promotion as well, Terminus. Wow.
He’s getting absolutely roasted online for his height as well.
It doesn’t sound like he is in a good place mentally and I hope the comments online don’t get to him.

Online fans mad at Tony Khan and FTR because during the media scrum for ROH Death Before Dishonor they said Jim Cornette has earned the right to criticize AEW, with TK even admitting a lot of what Corny says is fair.

The guy who owns AEW doesn’t mind the criticism, why the fuck would others do?

Jim Cornette is spot on about most things he says regarding the modern product.

I feel social media sped up the decline of wrestling now and most of the fans of the product are either casuals who watch WWE occasionally or marks who stan AEW and love Japanese wrestling

I think sometimes his roots do show him up and he has said some silly shit in the past(usage of the n word and such) which to my knowledge he has apologized for.

But in regards to wrestling history he is an encyclopedia and has brilliant mind for the business still. Yeah, his podcast does sometimes enhance his ranting gimmick but if you read between the lines he often offers constructive criticism. There’s a reason Tony wanted to sign him and him reviewing the show every week is essentially him doing what Tony wanted to hire him for free of charge.

These ā€œwrestlingā€ fans should worry more when people stop caring to the point that nobody really covers wrestling anymore.

Jim gets an unfair rep as someone who plays up the audience when it comes to his podcast but it’s absolutely not true. He never says anything that isn’t at least somewhat identifiably true.

The problem with AEW is that it’s run by a mark. A mark who hired a lot of legendary and consummate professionals like Jim Ross, Arn Andersen, Tully Blanchard but makes idiots like Young Bucks and Omega his go to for decision making.

JR has made so many valid criticisms of the product but they’re totally ignored and outright rejected by some of the talent.

JR still has WWE on his mind the amount of times he calls guys by their WWE names lol. Swear he called Claudio Cesaro on his debut

Yeah, he’s called him Cesaro often, he fucked up Ruby and Bryan often too.

On Claudio though, I doubt it’s a problem. He actually trademarked CSRO and is actively using for his coffee brand and on his Twitter account.

Why do you have to do Tony dirty there? He’s the one(on a multiple occasions) along with FTR that have defended Jim. :joy:

He defends Jim because he’s a mark with little self respect not because he agrees with what he’s saying.

If he agrees with Jim he’d have changed the product a long time aho

Good. Fuck this bucktooth misogynistic piece of shit

He has changed the programming and those who have been keeping track have noticed stuff suggested on the Jim’s podcast being actually implemented on AEW a week or so later.
I think it’s well known Tony and other members in the roster listen to the show.
I’m not sure if you’re watching the show or just keep track of what’s happening but it’s no longer the mud show it used to be when it launched and Corny himself has liked plenty of episodes(even from start to finish) the past year.
The issue is that AEW does want to go for variety at times and I think that’s beyond just Kenny and the Bucks trying to get their shit into the show, I think it comes from above and it’s also very much driven by the wrestling fanbase they’re trying to appeal to.

Last week we had a fucking shark week show that was a theme across the network and that was the most WWE show I’ve seen from AEW in some time.

This purely my belief from I have heard talk about, specifically regarding his preferences, I think if Tony was booking a show just based on what he likes, not what the modern fans like or what TV execs are suggesting him, I believe he would book a pure Southern wrestling based promotion.
Unfortunately, I don’t think such a promotion would last in this day and age, which is a shame.

If WWE didn’t exist, a lot of AEW fans would hate AEW.

Yep, lol.

I’m almost sure he dead-named Malakai, too. (ā€œAlastair Blackā€)
