Booked himself to dominate TNA because he could. Had no business being a main event star for as long as he was

Jarrett never drew a dime

Just going through some 1993 WWF. Lex Luger really was a missed opportunity. Badass theme as well.

Lex just didn’t have the charisma to connect with the fans. And Vince was pushing him as something like a new Hogan and the fans had already long grown tired of the whole America hero lark.

I loved Lex though his title win against Hogan in 1997 is one of the most iconic moments in WCW history

Timing was also shit. Bret Hart was the man in that period, maybe it if was like 1995…when they pushed Diesel. But he found himself much at home in WCW.

Yeah the gimmick felt too forced and you can tell that he was trying to be pushed as the next Hogan 2.0. Fans had moved on that point and wanted to see Bret be the main guy. It’s a shame because Lex was a great worker. One of the best to not hold the WWE Title

He slammed Yokuzuna in 1993. His run culminated with main-eventing (kinda) WM10.

It was a great run. I liked him but Bret had the year of his life in 1994. The Narcissist wasn’t going to match that.

He was meant to win the title at one point but the decision was changed last minute if I remember rightly.

Lex also had an issue with the fact he wasn’t really deemed to be a likeable guy as well. He was very self absorbed and also deeply insecure. His personal development over the years has been great people speak so highly of him now

I do recall a story of Owen Hart embarrassing Lex in a match because of something backstage.

Is it the one where him and Davey Boy were involved? Like he would be deadweight when Lex tried to lift him, but went up no problem for Davey? Lol

I thought he’d die as chairman of the company.

Iconic figure, probably the greatest heel in modern wrestling history

Yep, fuck off Vinnie.

Cunt.

Not sure I can look at WWE the same now. Got a lot of things wrong but he was a stable figure in the industry.

Stephanie McMahon now co-CEO and chairwoman. (Good luck WWE).

wow. Say what you want about Vince, he really did revolutionise wrestling

I do wonder though. He still the booker or what? :eyes:
